Great location (lovely sleepy village but also only 10 minutes from Cadwell Park), friendly staff, great fry up. While the twin room was small (as stated in the description, so not a surprise) the beds were comfortable and there was a good supply of tea, coffee and biscuits.
Overall good value for money for the price.

The couple was very friendly their home was ours at the stay it was wonderful. Very laid back dogs which our dog loved and put him at ease. Lovely house lovely garden lovely people. Very quiet restful nights as we stayed 2 nights would have loved to say longer. Will stay again and keep in touch with Judi the amenities was ample. They even made us pancakes on the evening of pancake day. We didn’t watch much telly as too busy talking to the owners and petting their dogs

Goulceby is a pretty small village with just a village pub (and a church I think). Other villages would have been accessible by bike if the weather had been better but as it was cold and wet some of the time we drove more than we usually do on holiday. Horncastle and Louth are both 7-8 miles away and have all services and are attractive little towns. The north sea beaches are 20 or so miles away.
The great thing about the location was that we were right in the middle of the Wolds, with quiet and varied walking and cycling routes straight out the front door.

Lovely village, with a friendly atmosphere.
Lovely village, with a friendly atmosphere. Bus stop is beautiful, shame there are no buses. The pub/shop/campsite is closed in January (I suppose there's obvious reasons for that) so make sure you're stocked up before any visit there in that month. The church is still open to the public and a cemetery is not far away supposedly on the site of the old village. Asterby is not far away and is linked by the Viking Way, one of many great walks in the area. The scenery, the wildlife, and even the resident alpacas are exquisite and worth the trip out to see. Not many footpaths so bring wellies and keep your ears and eyes on the road between gasping at hills, streams, and horses!
