The staff was very kind and upgraded us to a gorgeous room with windows on three sides overlooking the little bay where the fishing boats launch. They left a welcome note and some fruit in our room and even some treats for our dog. We loved our room and slept very well and thought the breakfast options and service were delicious.

The Ship Inn is located in the center of town on their High Street just a few steps from the waterfront. The staff was very nice and helpful. It’s above and old, old pub but not noisy. Good food in the restaurant!

Really liked Gorran Haven, the local people we met were very friendly. The village shop had good opening times and sold a good range, including fresh bread.
We were unable to taste the fish and chips as we were early in the season and it did not open until end of March.
Would love to return.

Gorran Haven is a little village just south of Mevagissy that has just enough facilities for the size of the village. 2 Cafe's, a FIsh and Chip shop and an Ice Cream shop selling general beach needs as well
Be aware, the roads into Gorran Haven are extremely narrow and the roads are very steep getting down to the beach and seem even steeper getting back up again!
Being a secluded cove, the water is calm and the beach is sandy. I great place to swim or just paddle

The hotel is in a beautiful location with comfy beds.
The hotel is in a beautiful location with comfy beds. However we were very disappointed with our stay. The dining menu is limited and the food is very poor. We complained twice about this and found the attitude of the staff to be indifferent.....and no management response. Staff are poorly trained - leave dirty glasses on the patio and do not clean tables regularly. Steps into hotel are scattered with litter and not regularly swept.
Rooms are spacious and expensively furnished but ergonomically the rooms are poorly designed,
Breakfast was very good. But the evening dining was a very disappointing experience - which was due to their difficulty in recruiting a decent chef all summer - as there are no nearby places to eat due to remote location we had picked this hotel because its website promised a great dining experience .

Very pretty area with a good sized Sandy beach and small harbour. Dog and children friendly with a strict Dogs on leads policy from beginning of season until September.
Steep hills so wouldn’t recommend for people with walking difficulties.
There is a beach front cafe, excellent fish and chip shop, convenience shop small outdoor bar and Toilets, all within walking distance of the beach.

Quiet with lots of places to explore and some fantastic coastal walks. Good place to branch out into the wider areas beaches, landmarks and gardens that Cornwall has to offer. Best fish and chips are served at the Haven Fish and Chip shop right on your nearest beach doorstep and there are lovely Cornish pasties including vegetarian options at Cakebread bakeries. Quiet, simple perfect place to recharge your batteries.

A very chilled out location.
A very chilled out location. Only 1 excellent Fish and Chip Shop. Shop, Cakebreads serving alcohol as well as produce for self catering. Small Beachside cafe which was perfect. Only one hotel , The LLawnroc. Excellent food and bar with huge sun terrace seating area.Staff are all excellent. Spotlessly clean.
The hosts are lovely people and great to chat with - The property itself is modern, clean and comfortable and within 5mins of the lovely harbour of Gorran Haven.
It was super busy with it being a bank holiday weekend and the end of summer holidays so restaurants, activities etc were limited due to the amount of people that had descended on Cornwall in general - But the hosts were kind enough to try and recommend good places to visit and eat out.
Would love to visit again, but out of season next time :)
It had off road parking, a nice garden with a view of the sea. Inside it was very well equipped and clean with comfortable beds. Clean bedding, towels, tea towels etc were provided. It had good cooking and laundry facilities and detailed user guides. There was WiFi. It was very close to the beach and also to a nice hotel where one could get food and drinks, as a non resident. Our daughter was allowed to park in the drive when she visited one day which was nice.
We had a lovely week at Gorran Haven staying at Top Deck. The bungalow is well situated in a peaceful area but handy for the beach and all local facilities. The bungalow is spacious, three bedrooms, two bathrooms, Large lounge/dining area, and a good kitchen. It is well stocked with everything you need for a good holiday. The views from the decking at the rear of the property, looking out to the sea and the countryside, are stunning. Highly recommended.
Welcoming hosts.
Location: Gorran Haven is an absolute gem.
Great place to stay for Lost Gardens of Heligan, Mevagissey, Charlestown and all other attractions in the area.
Beach.
Mermaid Beach Cafe: smoothies especially good.
Haven Fish and chips
Cakebreads; Shop cum Post Office and outdoor bar; what's not to like !
The hotel said it was new but it was looking tired, the reception staff were ok but not really welcoming, the restaurant staff and bar staff were lovely and pleasant always polite and happy to help the door was very nice and the breakfast was amazing
Lovely spot. Nice rooms. Good breakfast. The staff were very generous and let us cancel our 2nd night due to driving time limits. I had not planned well for the driving times in Cornwall and the time needed to get back to London.
Beautiful location and when the sun shines it lights up every room. Such a cosy cottage with everything you need to have a relaxing holiday.
Five minutes stroll and you are on the beach. Gorran Haven itself is very friendly.
Staff was very friendly and supportive. Breakfast was good as they have other hot dishes on top of the normal full English breakfast.
I like the that the room was very clean and the entire hotel was well taken care off
The property was very clean and comfortable. Fantastic location. We have stayed in many cottages in Gorran Haven as we used to live there. We would certainly come back to Cliff Cottage
The location and the marvellous staff who were attentive, friendly and very helpful. Without those staff this hotel is letting itself down when it has so much potential.
The hotel has a beautiful view of the beach and the beach is only a 5 minute walk. Great customer service and food was amazing. Would highly recommend.
