We needed to check-in as early as possible so we could attend a wedding. I'd emailed beforehand and the staff had gone out of their way to turn around our room so we could have access when we arrived. It was a large, well appointed room with an ensuite incorporating both a jacuzzi bath and an excellent powerful shower. It was clean and tidy, if a little care-worn, but the bed was exceptionally comfortable, with high thread count bedding and fluffy towels and they get my vote because a teapot was provided. ☺️

A beautiful inn. Our room was warm and comfortable. The bed was super comfy. Everywhere was exceptionally clean. Plenty of tea, coffee and milk.
Plenty of parking. The evening meal was delicious and the service was excellent
We asked for an early breakfast as we had an event to attend - this was no issue at all and we pre ordered. It was served at 6.30am as requested. Little things like this are what make an establishment stand out from the rest.
Would return in a heartbeat - we wish we could have stayed longer.

James the GM went out of his way to help us get to a wedding in time. Our taxi didn’t arrive so James did not hesitate to take us there which was so decent of him. We arrived 1 minute before the bride walked down the aisle!!

There was a cluster of places to stay which seemed to be well attended. No noise from neighbours. Lovely scenery to look out at. There were plenty of towels available with the added comfort of a dressing gown in the wardrobe if needed. Soap and shampoo were available in the bathroom and a hairdryer in the bedroom. You could get to quite a few places on day trips including Bolton Abbey, Ilkley, Skipton and at a stretch, Blackpool. We went on the Embsay to Bolton Abbey steam train having afternoon tea in the Queen Victoria carriage. We would thoroughly recommend the experience! There are a lot of eaterys within a short driving distance. The owners can recommend a few places. We ate in Hamish's the first night but they close really early and eating a large meal at 430 is not ideal. The next night we ate in Skipton where there is a good choice.

There is nothing to see in Gisburn.
There is nothing to see in Gisburn. It is a small hamlet on the busy A59. Skipton, Clitheroe and the Yorshire Dales are all within easy reach. The White Bull is an excellent dining pub with rooms. There is also a recommended Italian restaurant.

My husband and I like Gisburn because we can visit relatives easily that live in Lancashire and also visit friends in Yorkshire, therefore convenient for us. Also the beautiful Yorkshire Dales are nearby and nice towns like Skipton and Clitheroe. We ate at the White Bull, where we were staying, on three occasions and in Leyland another time whilst visiting family, We found it easy to get around to various places.

Gisburn is a great location.
Gisburn is a great location. Easy to get to from M6 motorway & easy to travel to the many "must see" places in West Yorkshire.
Todber Valley offers some excellent self catering units but you must be careful with selection.

This was our first visit to Stirk House, we did not have time to stay longer or see much of the neighbourhood . The hotel was very comfortable all round and our evening meal and breakfast were very good
Gorgeous property in a stunning location.
Dave and Val are excellent hosts, very friendly and
made a cracking breakfast.
Loved the little touches of a bottle of water, ear plugs and a good choice of tea/coffee/hot chocolate in the room
I was in the area for a wedding at Stirk House and Dave gave me a lift to the hotel which was above
and beyond what you expect at a b&b.
Thanks for making my stay comfortable
My son and I were staying over in Gisburn for a friends wedding at the nearby Stirk Hall so it was just an overnight stay.
We received a warm and friendly welcome. It is a lovely little area and the views were amazing. The room was comfortable and the breakfast fab.
For a quick overnight stay I was more than impressed and would definitely return.
First time staying the room was so huge and comfortable it felt like an apartment rather than a hotel room ... staff were so friendly and nothing was too much trouble. We had dinner on the onsite restaurant and the food was some of the best ive ever had... definitely think a return will be in order.
Superb b&b - as a hotel manager (large city centre hotels) of over 15 years this is the bedrock of meaningful, purposeful and quality hospitality. Easy to use, clean, friendly and run by genuine people who care about their business and care about their guests. Excellent on every measure.
Very well decorated, very clean, comfortable bed. Nice breakfast. Very friendly and helpful hosts. Good location for us as we were attending a wedding at the nearby Gisburn Park Estate and this property is about 5 minutes drive away.
David and Valerie are very welcoming. The location is about two miles outside Gisburn where there are good places to eat. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. The breakfast was superb.
