Very comfy bed, lovely and quiet location and a wonderful people-friendly cat! Was the perfect nights stay before a wedding nearby.
The hosts were lovely and welcoming and made it a great stay. Thanks!
Delightful, helpful staff. Excellent dinner and breakfast (scrambled egg would put many 4 and 5 star hotels to shame!). Convenient location for M6. Almost exactly half way between St Andrews and London. Extremely quiet. Easy, plentiful parking in hotel's car park. Well appointed, spacious room. Lovely views over golf course and surrounding countryside. Very good value for money.

Garstang is a small market town, within easy reach of Morecambe bay, Lake District and the Peninnes. The town does not have major stores but a very good selection of local businesses which adds to its charm.
There are a range of pleasant rural walks in the area. Blackpool is also within easy reach.

Garstang is a beautiful little place, it's perfect for ramblers and business people as its on a main trunk road to lancaster/ blackpool and Preston. Its also in countryside so walkers are welcome and Garstang is just one of lots of villages with Cabus,Forton and others within good walking distance. It's a friendly place I would certainly recommend to others.

The town was pleasant, I took a walk by the river. There seemed to be a lot of pubs & cafes in the town. However, I was there to visit a friend in a care home so wasn't really there in a tourist capacity

Garstang was a lovely break from our motorway trip south.
Lovely views of countryside and walks along the river, past boats and barges, with a good mix of traditional shops and modern supermarkets!
Noticed lots of "For Sale" notices on properties, many "sold" so others find it desirable!
We loved everything about this lovely old English pub. The rooms were spacious and very comfortable, beds comfy, the sheets soft, and the shower had good pressure. The staff went out of their way to be friendly and helpful, the food in the pub was really tasty, and the location of the pub is great, right in the middle of Garstang. This is the best pub we stayed in during our trip to England. We would loved to have stayed longer
Friendly, helpful staff team and a delicious breakfast. With breakfast available until 10.00 and checkout by 11.00 we didn't feel rushed at all.
The evening meal we had on the second night was so good, we wished we had stayed in and dined in the hotel the first night too!
Lovely location, room was very spacious with a bath and shower, restaurant was very good, plenty of choice of food at reasonable price and finally every member of staff we dealt with was superb- friendly, knowledgeable and a real credit to the hotel.
The staff from hotel to the bar were all very friendly and were always checking if I required anything. The room was clean and and was well equipped with comfy pillows. The Bathroom was clean and was equipped with Soups and clean white towels.
Breakfast was great and any items you didn't want on your English breakfast were replaced with alternatives.
Staff were friendly and helpful in both the hotel and the attached bar/restaurant.
Lovely local hotel. right in the centre, and close to all amenities.
The staff are lovely, polite, and ensure to make the stay perfect. The breakfast was amazing and could not fault it.
