Loved the outdoor patio overlooking the river. The location was perfect: right in the center of the town. It was very clean and nicely decorated. Breakfast choices were plentiful.

Boutique hotel with a very small number of rooms in a historic building was out of sight; room was spacious and bedding including extraordinarily soft high thread count cotton sheets; bartender was friendly; receptionist was hugely helpful acting as concierge to answer all of my local questions; deck view of estuary mouth and English channel was awesome; complimentary smooth as water gin stored in a crystal decanter and tonic water was a fantastic surprise

Fowey is a lovely, typical fishing village however it has the usual plethora of second homes, airbnb and rental properties. It’s not too commercial though. Lots of narrow streets and old buildings.
We visited in March and it was lovely, I suspect that in the high season it will get very crowded. A nightmare to drive through!

Classic Cornish small coastal town nestled on the steep western bank of a creek. Full of character and plenty of real local people as well as tourists. Be prepared for a steep heart stopping climb to the central car par if you miss the Town (mini) Bus which appears every 15 minutes.Highly recommend Bufala Italian restaurant/.pizzeria - don't be put off by drab road facing entrance/waiting area. Pintxo tapas bar looked interesting but could not get a seat.

A very idyllic town, by the river Fowey, especially when the sun is out and sparkling on its surface.
Excellent opportunities to walk along the coast, or to jump on to ferries and visit other towns. Some lovely beaches and coves nearby (Readymoney Cove is lovely and at walking distance from the centre) making it possible to dip into the river. Many links to Daphne du Maurier around the area - although Manderley is private (and under a different name) it’s easy to be enraptured by the atmosphere.
Buses are just a couple and not very regular, but it’s still possible to visit the area even if you don’t own a car.
I truly recommend.

A delightful place to visit.
A delightful place to visit. Wonderful swimming at Readymoney Bay.
Good long Beach for strolling at Par Bay a short drive out of Fowey.
The town of Fowey is charming, set on the River. However the steep walk from and up to the upper part of town is a kittle challenging.
Fowey offers a good selection of restaurants and shops.

Lovely location especially Readymoney beach and the shops & pubs.
Little bit challenging getting to accommodation by car, to drop our bags off, as it’s a single road one way system. So if you miss it you either have to go round again or park up and walk back.

A really compact village/town with everything centrally placed, plenty of choice of drinking or eating places.
Only downside is the carparking on the fringe of the town, you would need to catch the town taxi/bus if you have any mobility problems.
Visit Llanhydrock Place the best National Trust property I've ever entered.
Beautiful location manor itself is beautiful, nice little gym and lovely swim area. Food in the restaurant was amazing. Staff so helpful and polite nothing was too much for them.
We stayed in a lodge with sea view and wow what a breath taking view we had from 508.
Celebrated our wedding g anniversary whilst here and the staff went above and beyond to make it special for us.
We loved it that much we have booked again through the hotel to stay again in 2 weeks for our birthdays.
Highly recommend don’t hesitate book it now.
Lovely spacious room with large wardrobe and plenty of storage if you were on a long stay. Tiny balcony was lovely with a side view of the river/harbour. Large, very comfortable bed and a delicious breakfast included with lots of choice. Restaurant looks out over Fowey river/harbour and is very light and airy. Comfortable lounge area with bar near the entrance. Modern en-suite bathroom with large thick towels and bathrobes. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly.
Great views from the bedrooms and bar over Fowey Quay. Excellent staff, extremely friendly, polite and helpful.
Breakfasts were fine with a good options, we also ate in the bar one evening and the meals were good and generous.
There is no parking onsite due to the central location. We parked at Caffa St. car park which is a gentle 10 min walk from the hotel. 24hr parking is very reasonable age £6.50. Suggest you use Just Park app to book.
The whole atmosphere of the hotel was first class: the winding staircase, the friendly, professional staff, the food. Many of the staff had worked there for some years and were easy to talk with and very informative about the surrounding area. We met many people during our 3 night stay, from all over Britain and the continent. The relaxing atmosphere was just what my wife and I needed. Well done to all the staff for making us so welcome.
Breakfast excellent. Dinner excellent. High quality food and fair price. Excellent service throughout eateries and hotel generally. Pool, very clean, nice facility. Great terrace area, lovely views. Very relaxing place. Staff friendly with a dry wit .. if you like that! Great. TOP TIP - book restaurant in advance not to be disappointed ... probably a week or so before your stay.
Henry and Alison the hosts are lovely people and willing to help with any problem. The property is in tip top condition and equipped with anything and everything you might need on your stay. In an amazing location with superb views of the harbour.Worht every penny will come again when we get the chancel.
Owners are a lovely couple, helpful and nice. We stay in Rebecca room and it was spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was delicious and plenty.
You could connect to main roads easily if you want to visit any other town than Fowey.
Bob and Joe are brilliant.. Great hosts.. helpful, informative and gave great tips about the area.. especially the pub locations, local walks etc😉👍.
The breakfast is spot-on and locally sourced produce definatly pays off
The breakfast is probably the best breakfast we have ever had at a hotel, there was so much food that we couldn't eat it all.
The location is also great for exploring Fowey and the surrounding area.
Room decor was pretty.
The apartment was beautiful, with full facilities for a comfortable stay. It was brilliantly located to make the most of everything Fowey has to offer. Great to have a private courtyard for sitting in the sun.
The room was beautiful, a good size and very clean, the batroom and shower was exceptional. It was a great location in the centre of Fowey, but still quiet. The breakfast was delicious.
The hotel is so handy to the town centre with easy access to the harbour. The room was very pleasant and nicely serviced. The bus stopped right outside.
