I lived in the region for about fifty years but my, situation changed, so I like to return every year.
Because of a land slip, I had to use a longer route to visit Folkestone town centre. I would recommend a visit to the high street

Folkestone is a great town for sea views and shopping. The harbour arm is good to visit with great places for coffee and food. The creative corner has artisan and independent shops that have a variety of goods and products that are quirky and original.
Lovely places for international cuisine. The town centre has all the usual named chain stores. Lots of pedestrian walking areas.
Folkestone has something for everyone and every budget.

Helpful and friendly, we had a great time and will
Return. Folkestone has a pretty harbour with the
Remaining railway bridge and station restored, to a
Excellent standard, with places to eat and drink
Although the viaduct and bridge is predestinated
It’s a fantastic walk along history
The old railway lines are still visible.

Folkestone has a lot of places of interest. Its quaint streets offer lots of art and craft shops to browse. Not too expensive either. A very wide choice of restaurants and bars to suit every age and taste.
A pretty harbour too. Historic things to go and see in the museum and a beautiful remembrance arch.
All close at hand too.
A lovely place to meet folks in Folkestone!!

We have stayed at this Folkestone Holiday Inn Express several times and always receive a warm welcome when checking in. The hotel is extremely well located for the EuroTunnel. The rooms are basic, clean, comfortable and relatively spacious. Breakfast is very good - cereals, breads, yoghurts, fruit, eggs, bacon, sausages etc. and the vending machines deliver hot, fresh coffee, tea, chocolate etc. Thank you to all the staff (in all departments) who work hard to provide a good experience for guests.
The Gentleman on Reception called Mark was very helpful & polite. I would say Mark is the nicest person I've met on a Reception desk. We paid extra to upgrade our room, and we was extremely happy with our upgrade.
The hotel is very lovely and clean, with great staff.
I've been coming to Folkestone for years, and I didn't even know this hotel existed.
I will definitely be coming back to stay at this hotel.
It's very good value, and for people like me, just want something clean and cheap. It was clean and it was cheap. Restaurant was fine. Hotel noise level is acceptable. Always depends on other guests, but generally it's pretty good for me. Staff are very friendly. And folkestone itself is a lovely place to stay.
I loved this hotel. There was all sorts of facilities and activities for everyone, and it is of course very big. However, it was also very quiet on the third floor where I had a lovely spacious room with a splendid view. If I every return to Folkestone I'll definitely use this hotel again
