We stayed in the main building, in a room on the top floor and had a huge Four Poster Bed overlooking the beautiful grounds. It was very quirky and atmospheric. Really old fixtures and fittings. The Bathroom was huge with a large bath and modern fittings. Very clean. The breakfast was good and included in our room price. The small bar had comfy seats and the staff were super friendly and made us feel very welcome. The whole place felt very welcoming with a relaxed atmosphere in a great location. We met with family for an overnight stay and it was very enjoyable.

Every interaction with staff was very pleasant and helpful. They allowed us to bring two dogs instead of only one, offered ideas and assistance without being asked and made us feel extremely welcome.

In a lovely area close to a lot of interesting places to visit. We found it very pleasant and people very helpful. There is just one shop there. It is a bakery and makes the most delicious pork pies. Have been making a variety of pies for many years. It was unfortunate that our visit to Fladbury was to a friends funeral.
So we are hoping the next time we return to Fladbury it will be in better circumstances and can stay at The Chequers Inn with more time to discover more about the region.

Fladbury is a lovely village.
Fladbury is a lovely village. I had never heard of it until my daughter moved to live there and I really enjoy visiting her there. The people are friendly, walks and countryside beautiful and now the Chequers has been revamped a great place to stay.

Fladbury is a beautiful village with loads of character.
Fladbury is a beautiful village with loads of character. There are two Mills on a picturesque bend in the river, just ten minutes walk from the Chequers Inn and the Church is blessed with wonderful stained glass windows - do visit. The vicar very kindly told me about the aforementioned beauty spot. The Chequers has a lovely patio and play area. Dining is in the simply furnished extension - the menu has just enough choice and you can pick dishes to suit your budget. Ryan is the chef and the food I sampled was delicious. If you are walking a dog, there are barrels of water on tap. The Anchor next door doesn't do food, but the locals there are welcoming. Visit the only shop - Fladbury Sausage & Pie shop, open Tuesday to Saturday.
