Grade II Lodge House 2 Bedroom, hotel in Ffestiniog

A recently renovated vacation home, Grade II Lodge House 2 Bedroom offers accommodations in Trawsfynydd. This property offers access to a terrace and free private parking.

Gorgeous accommodation in the Welsh countryside. The property is clean, spacious and well decorated. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you could want for a short trip. There is a good size living room/kitchen diner with two comfortably sized bedrooms downstairs. The photos on Booking.com don't do it justice at all, it was lovely. The hosts were very responsive and we're flexible about our check in time which was much appreciated. One of the rooms is two twin bed which we ended up pushing together. Would recommend!

There is plenty of activities you should try and I will advise everybody to take food with you because it’s very difficult to find a nice food so it’s better to cook your own food price why it outside it’s not bad but not good food

It was a perfect rural retreat.

It was a perfect rural retreat. We had a car and we’re able to visit many places of interest in under an hour. The weather was awful but we expected that as we stayed at the end of December and start of New Year and part of our hope for the mini-break was to snuggle up and stay cozy for a peaceful get away after the stress of Christmas. Additionally, as enthusiasts of narrow gauge railways we were able to drive a little way to visit a couple of different Raikways and Castles too. This stay was exactly what we hoped and we would happily have stayed longer, life permitting! We will consider returning for another break.

Fabulous area with lots to do. We were given tips about places to wild swim and walk. We were there as we were goi g to Portmerion but will defiantly return to explore. A bonus for the future was finding out about local yoga teacher who hosts retreats

Loved the people and the village/location. The room however was extremely basic, but clean. Staff were very helpful. A very lovely project for the local people who understandably wish to preserve their local establishment and they support it extremely well.

We chose to stay here as we were visiting Zip World Caverns and the location was perfect. Less than 10 minutes drive took us to two very nice pub restaurants - we managed to book into 'The Grapes' which was amazing!

Bear in mind this is a Pub that has some rooms, it is not a hotel. From that point of view it is very nice, with a large room and ensuite, parking right outside, a bar (obviously), and the person on duty was very helpful. Best bit is the included breakfast, basic but plentiful. It's a nice quiet setting, with some outdoor space. Unfortunately the restaurant was closed during our stay, but we were informed in advance, so no problem.

The hotel was clean, simple and comfortable. The staff and food was excellent. My husband and I really enjoyed our stopover. The people were exceptional ! They were not only friendly but made you feel part of their community. We had the privilege to listen to The Welsh Mens Choir sing a night in the pub, which is one of my favorite experiences! Thanks to everyone at the Y Pengwern for giving us a wonderful lifetime memory !

Staying at Y Pengwern made me to feel what is like to be in Wales. This traditional and historical hotel is just whole package of Wales identity. I felt like I am in 16C or 17C Wales. There is also a cosy Wales pub on ground floor. And the room was spotless clean. I was so impressed that this community-run hotel has the same level of cleaness as big chain hotels.

The bedroom was clean, comfortable and quite spacious. The staff were pleasant and helpful. Although the menu for dinner and breakfast was limited, the food was very well cooked and tasty - it was also served efficiently. The location of the hotel is stunning with great views of the mountains.
