Very relaxing break, great location by the pond. Food was very good and staff pleasant. We enjoyed the spa and was a real get away from everyday life.

Room was a nice size. Well equipped gym and nice pool. Breakfast was well stocked and varied although I hadn't noticed you could order veggie sausages until the 3rd day!
Beds were comfortable. Bath a bit slippery but you can get an anti slip mat from the reception.
Staff were friendly and helpful.
Dinner in the restaurant was good, even though we only ate there one night and the bar was nice.

The hosts were very friendly and helpful. Room was very well appointed, with a very comfortable bed. Everything one could need was provided and an excellent breakfast in the morning. The dogs were friendly too. Parking was off road and very handy for the cottage. Shower and bathroom were of very high standard.

All communication with Vicky was superb. She is friendly, flexible and efficient. The directions to the lodge were very clear and, although slightly tucked away, I found it without any problems. The lodge itself was clean, plenty of towels and linen and the beds really comfortable. Wifii signal was good. I had everything I needed in the kitchen to prepare meals and I would heartily recommend and also use again myself. The spot is wonderful - brilliant to wake to birdsong and sunlight coming through the trees.

Had two rounds of golf booked at Hankley Common which is only 2 miles or 5 minute drive down the road. The a great little country pub perfectly situated with good food, nice rooms although a little small and lovely friendly staff. My room had a complimentary bottle of flavoured gin, also there is a small room called The study on the first floor which was a small seating area that had plenty of books for a nice quiet read, a radio should you want to listen and also a bottle of Glenfiddich single malt scotch you could help yourself to. Nice touch!
I will definitely stay here again next time I’m in the area…

Returning after attending college here 40 years ago it was wonderful to see the overall charm hadn’t changed, the period buildings, the quirky “yards” and churches, pubs and laneways means Farnham is still a beautiful place to visit. Plenty to investigate.
Shops have changed or updated but the character still invites a thorough walk around town.
Further afield delivers the pleasures of rural Surrey, Farnham and the environs, are in my opinion well worth a visit.

Beautiful forest, quiet lanes with wonderful views.
Beautiful forest, quiet lanes with wonderful views. Small village, a slow pace of life, just what I needed after a hard working week. Farnham recharged my batteries and I would love to come back again soon. I expect the lovely sunny warm weather helped in this idyllic place, but I cannot imagine it ever looking gloomy! We stayed in the Frensham Pond Hotel, just gorgeous, but we ventured out to eat. We found 3 pubs all pretty close (within a 2 minute drive of each other) all serving food. Our lunches were absolutely spot on, and with lovely gardens to enjoy them in. Like everywhere these days, look out for the pot holes!
The Bel and Dragon group are AWESOME! top quality rooms. charming locations. fabulous staff. fantastic food. Totally recommend them!
This is the second hotel of the group I’ve stayed at and they are reassuringly the same high standard.
