Property was in a great location in a cute little city. Right on the main road with a very nice outside patio bar. The restaurant was cozy and the food was ok. My Scottish breakfast was great, but my wife’s pancakes were overdone. The room we had was noisy as it sat above the bar and one of the workers was blowing the front patio with a leaf blower 7 AM in the morning. For the money, it was just OK.

Well equipped, tastefully furnished and very convenient for the station for visits to Edinburgh and Burntisland. Although close to the station, it was a very quiet road and not much noise from the neighbours. There was a well stocked co-op a short walk away and a couple of pubs (but didn't try them).
The Old Manor Hotel offers rooms with balconies that overlook the Firth of Forth and Lundin Links Golf Course. There is a restaurant and St. Andrews is 12 miles away.
An absolute must see for Outlander fans. Such a wonderful little village with an olde worlde vibe. Worth a visit on its own merits, without the Outlander connection. Great walks in the hills above. Falkland Palace & gardens are a must see too.

Lovely guest house in a beautiful location,
Staff seemed friendly enough, we stayed in the outlander room it was very small but clean and tidy, the bed was awful extremely uncomfortable so both my partner and I didn’t get much sleep at all 😕 maybe a little overpriced I thought for the size of the room we paid £100 which did include breakfast that was very nice and the chef was lovely very friendly.

What a lovely old village!
What a lovely old village! It is small but full of very old buildings, including the Stuart's country palace. It is interesting to walk around. We stayed at the Bruce Inn in a building dated 1607.

This is a beautiful conservation village with attractive, traditional cottages set in 'wynds'. It has a number of cafes/tea rooms and craft shops. It has a peaceful atmosphere with the main attraction being the historical Falkland Palace and Gardens. A real pleasure is walking through the nearby Falkland estate with numerous paths. Two recommendations would be the Pillars of Hercules for lunch (combined with walk through Falkland estate) and brunch at Campbell's Coffee House and Eatery.

Falkland is a beautiful village close to the Lomond Hills...
Falkland is a beautiful village close to the Lomond Hills and Falkland Estate- both excellent for walks of varying lengths.
The village has a good selection of shops, I think mostly local independent stores selling groceries, bakery, local gifts etc. There are a few pubs in the village- we visited two and they were both lovely. Food at the Stag Inn was some of the best I've had! I can't wait to visit again for food in the future. Also, the whole village is very dog friendly.
The friendly and welcoming manner we felt from the owner. The cleanliness and fresh feeling the hotel has. Loved the old feel of the hotel, the owner has paid attention to detail but not in a pretentious way. The food we had was 5 star with best quality products....I would highly recommend this hotel and Falkland is a beautiful village. Felt safe and welcoming. We hope to revisit in the future.
Everything ! The setting is fabulous. The hosts are welcoming, helpful and friendly. The breakfast is superb and presented beautifully. Maspie is a perfect opportunity for quiet relaxation in a lovely setting and also perfectly situated for exploring Falkland and Fife if you can drag yourself away !
A game taking place when we visited the old royal tennis court was the icing on the cake !
We absolutely LOVED the town of Falkland, the shops, the people and the Covenanter was in the center of it all. If you are an Outlander fan, you'll most definitely recognize it. It's quaint and charming. The shower was delicious. The breakfast that came with the room was AMAZING. Our waitress for dinner and breakfast was an absolute doll!
Good location, nice and quiet.
Very spacious clean and tidy, good value for money.
A note for future guests to either bring additional logs for fire… a small amount supplied but will not be enough for your stay. Informed by a shop owner in Falkland that these can be bought in a garage close by to the village however we brought our own.
a delightful home just a few cobbled steps from the famous Falkland Palace -- the most charming town -- AND if you are an Outlander fan -- a visit to the town - AND A STAY -- is a must -- this home can be seen in all the scenes of "Inverness" in Season 1 -- ALSO Falkland is a great base to step out from and see more of Fife
The house was set in beautiful gardens which we were allowed to freely roam. Our Host was so friendly and nothing was too much bother. He made us feel very welcome which added to the lovely relaxing time we had. The location was ideal as it was set right in the cenre of Falkland.
Excellent breakfast choices, great variety of teas and coffee and lovely touches with the wine and chocolate. We loved the location, the view of Falkland Palace is amazing. We also spent some time in the beautiful garden on this trip. Perfect to relax in and on the swing!
We knew the Location of Falkland as being a quaint and old historic Village/town and chose it particularly. We were renting a Villa For our whole family and it was perfect for our requirements but had charm too. I would book it again.
Great Hotel in a lovely wee historic village, Very friendly and hard working staff. The food was very tasty especially the breakfast. Will definitely be back!!
The location is so central, and convenient for all cafes, hotels, delis, etc. Having the outside space was a huge plus - a self contained sun trap. Sublime.
