The room was well equipped and had a lovely bathroom with shower / bath / toiletries and also some tea/coffee making facilities with biscuits in the room, etc.
Room was away from the restaurant area so, quiet.
The restaurant attached serves very nice food!

The location was right on the main road so very easy to find, nice parking in behind the hotel. The room was just what we needed for an overnight stay. Staff were nice and friendly.
The Wellington Arms has a garden, terrace, a restaurant and bar in Heckfield. This 4-star hotel offers a 24-hour front desk, luggage storage space and free WiFi.
It was filthy and in dire need of maintenance. I bought cleaning products did lots of cleaning but unfortunately could not clean upholstery or purchase a new bed pillow (which stank). I paid a supplement for my two small dogs which they say is for cleaning, but it did not look at all like the place had been cleaned for a long time. Lots of flies which I guess is to be expected with a place so dirty. The bar area stank of the resident dog.

On arrival we were greeted warmly.
On arrival we were greeted warmly. Our room was light, spacious and very clean. It was so nice to have windows that we could open and our view was over the very pretty courtyard. Breakfast was superb.
The studio room was a good size and overlooked the garden, very quiet and modern with a little kitchenette which was very useful. The beds were really comfortable and we had a fold up bed for our daughter which was also comfy. Very happy to see they had blackout blinds too. Peter was the main contact there and he was very helpful. The breakfast was lovely. The hotel overall is very cosy and I can see that it would be a lovely place to stay in the summer as the outdoor seating area is a nice touch.
This is a charming hotel with character offering old English hospitality from a well travelled host.
Once in the courtyard, reminiscent of a French holiday chateau, you get the feel that you are now staying with old friends, where nothing is too much trouble and you can relax and unwind with a game or two, such as bagatelle.
Excellent Wifi. Good cooked breakfast.
Double room with wnsuite and breakfast included. Good communication from Peter the host prior to my arrival. Got in at about 9.30pm, warm welcome. Very comfortable and clean room. Breakfast was delicious and had a good chat with Peter in the morning.
Thoroughly recommend this hotel.
This was a real gem. Quite honestly I think this is the best small hotel I have been to in years. I celebrated my birthday there and it was just great . Room was large clean and very comfortable bed. Welcomed by Peter and his dog. Will go back again.
A beautiful hotel with a unique character, in a very charming location. Beautiful courtyard. Very friendly hosts. Dog very welcome. Woodland walk just across the road. Charming restaurants just up the road. Great room.
This is a quaint and quirky hotel with lots of interesting features. Definitely worth checking out if you like staying in places that are not the norm. Would highly recommend 😃
