Ely is a wonderful small town for a few days stay - along the river is excellent on a fine day and a nice pub to have a drink and watch the world go by. Ely Cathedral was magnificent - we have visited many across UK and this is certainly one of the best - Stained Glass exhibition is also worth a visit. Cromwells House and Ely Museum worth a visit if you have time. Ely Cathedral has the Armoury Cafe which we would recommended for lunch. For dinner: The Lamb was excellent with wonderful food at a fair price.

Stayed at a hotel 10 minutes walk into Ely, the weather was extremely windy but we enjoyed the walk. We found quite a few quirly shops plus alll the usual high street shops, a few cafes and few places pto have a tea or coffee. We were surprised that the local carparks were free … what a bonus.
We walked around the cathedral and were amazed at the beauty of this truly amazing stricture.
We can recommend the Minster Arms for an evening meal, where they offer good food and ample servings.
We only stayed for a day and night but there will definately be another return visit to Ely

We loved the cathedral, which was at its most mystical when we visited in December. We attended two fantastic events in the cathedral during our stay – but needed a mulled wine afterwards to warm us up!
Another high point was the Farmers' market, which had all sorts of tempting foodstuffs on offer.

Loved the cathedral and the purpose of the visit was to see a performance of Dickens “A Christmas Carol” in the evening at the cathedral. A lovely way to start Christmas. A very good production of professional actors. Also went to the market and High Street and Oliver Cromwell’s house. All very interesting and enjoyable. Great pubs, good beer and food within walking distance.
This was my second stay at the Nyton Guest House, though the first for my wife. My brother came with me on the first visit and also brought his wife. I brought a friend for whom it was her first stay.
The breakfast is always superb: the ingredients are excellent and you can tell that every meal is freshly cooked. The staff are very friendly, especially the young man who waited in the dining room.
I like the location because it is quiet, yet only just a few minutes walk into Ely city centre.
Really lovely touches with the milk and pastries for the morning. Kitchen had everything we needed to make a big breakfast!
Room and bathroom was lovely and spacious and the perfect space for our night's stay!
Host was really friendly and super helpful with tips for our walk and even gave us a lift back into town so we could get our train back and save some money on a taxi, thank you!
Would definitely recommend, the studio has everything you need and more, we had a delightful stay!
I loved everything about this hotel and I am usually very picky. The staff provided us with everything we had asked for within minutes and without any complaints. They even gave us some milk for our toddler as we had run out and didn't have the chance to buy any. The room was clean, big and very comfortable. I would definitely stay there again.
More of a personalised experience compared to a boring hotel room.
Great cosy feel with excellent facilities.
Private parking is so convenient.
Everything you need for a couple's stay in the area.
The hosts were really friendly and easily accessible. Overall, we thoroughly recommend a stay and would definitely come again.
There were many ‘nice touches’ in the apartment. A welcome bag of cookies, soft throws for watching TV, milk, tea etc. a really well appointed kitchen and an extremely comfortable living area. It was easy walking distance to the river, cathedral, good restaurants, across the road from the museum.
The location was fantastic! I loved walking right across the street to the Waitrose and all other shops. The property is very well kept, updated and quite lovely. Free parking right outside. Ely is darling. Just a fantastic stay. Thank you!
The hotel was easy to find and the check-in details were easy to follow. Our room was comfortable, modern and very clean. The range of breakfast choice was excellent and the food was fresh and nicely displayed.
No hassle parking at rear of hotel or on the street. Digital lock so no problems with keys. Good breakfast with willing staff.
Excellent location for visiting the cathedral and the main streets of Ely.
Everything, spectacular attention to detail second to none. I wish I stayed longer.
Home made carrot cake on arrival was lovely and dinner was amazing, this hotel really is a secret you don't want to miss.
Great location close to town centre, lovely spacious property, everything that you could need for a short stay is there. Generally very clean and looked after. Easy parking nearby, quiet location.
The hotel itself was very pleasant, staff were very friendly and helpful. My room was largely quiet as I had a stable room away from the main building. Shower was powerful and hot.
A very classy hotel with extremely professional staff and fantastically set out rooms. The copper baths really make the experience extra special . Highly recommended .
Superb room, friendly welcome, lovely and quiet at night, delicious breakfast with loads of choice, and excellent location in the city Centre with free parking
