The hotel felt modern & fresh. The decor is great & our children enjoyed the letter search quiz & of course breakfast

The property and the surrounding area were amazing so beautiful and we had some lovely walks. We had a dog so we were out in a room that was big tired but we understand as we have a dog.
Elstree Inn is in the heart of Borehamwood, close to the train station and a shopping park. It offers a friendly approach and an affordable price, and free Wi-Fi is provided.

Good location and out of the hustle of London, not overly busy considering the Gym and pool facilities, overall a very nice clean hotel with excellent staff. Would we stay there again yes and are already planning another visit.
Breakfast great, staff lovely, room great, grounds lovely, gym ok. Internet good once it was working. Main house has lots of places to sit and relax.
Dinner good quality but very expensive. Over £70 for main and dessert plus a soft drink for two of us. Not a wide range of choices either. Don't do sandwiches as a lunchtime or daytime option.
Good location.

Warm welcome, room upgraded to provide a terrace and garden view.
Very helpful staff.
Breakfast was very good with plenty of choice on the buffet. The cooked food was excellent but it would have been helpful to have had a menu showing what was available.
We will stay again if we visit the area in the future.

Liked - The drive up to the house was lovely and the house looked spectacular from the outside.
I asked to be moved to another room and was given another room of better size with views over the grounds, the giant chess board and the shisha bar. The bed was extremely comfortable and the room had a small fridge.
Disliked · Our double room looked nothing like the rooms advertised on the website and definately not 4*. When I booked a 'double room' via a popular booking site, I was presented with images of gorgeous rooms in pastel shades. Definately not what we got on arrival! Our room was in the the newer wing, and accessed via a vast amount of stairs and corridors which is not ideal if you have mobility issues.
We were very disappointed to see the room. It was dated, dark and small with a loud humming noise coming from within the wall. Our hearts sank - the special treat for my daughter had suddenly flopped. I went back to reception and asked to change rooms. In the new room the toilet seat was broken and the toilet pan stained. The connecting door to the occupants in the room next door was unlocked and I had to go back to reception to ask for it to be locked.
There was a leak in the ceiling in the corridor outside our room and water was dripping into a bucket for the entire duration of our stay. The bar was shut during our stay due to the hotel being under new management.
No mention on the website of the popular Shisha bar set within the hotel grounds which was packed each night, with lots of parked cars and closes at 1am.

Hotel needs updating.
Hotel needs updating. Rooms look a little jaded, the Japanese toilet with all its functions didn't work and the water pressure in the shower was poor. The few staff that we saw were helpful but there wasn't enough of them. I had to wait 15 mins just to get my key reset at reception as we couldn't find anyone to help. Food at the evening meal was lovely as we're the helpful staff. Generally a little disappointed with the overall experience.

Friendly, helpful staff.
Friendly, helpful staff. (Reception staff should have chairs)
Well equipped spa with pool, sauna and steam room including gym and classes.
Shower only had a third of jets working and mould on ceiling.
Towels smelt strange.
Limited cereal options at breakfast, no decaf hot drink options, wet scrambled egg.
Room was well equipped with good TV, iron and tea and coffee making facilities.
The whole atmosphere of the Village hotel is modern and sleek, it felt really cosy and comfortable, the rooms are really well designed, huge smart TVs, bathtubs, comfortable beds (make sure you ask for a queen and not two single beds attached together!). The hospitality staff were extremely accomodating during all hours so I would definitely return to stay here again. I've been in worse 4* hotels!
The hotel is in a lovely location away from the main roads, the rooms are well set out and have nice touches like a Nespresso coffee machine. The staff were very accommodating and helpful, the food in the bar although expensive was very good quality and arrived fairly quickly considering there was a wedding on. Excellent Parking
Magnificent old building conveniently located (for me) 6 mins from Elstree airport. Good parking. There's an awesome Indian restaurant nearby called Bhageecha (you'll definitely need to book in advance) which was mobbed by well healed locals trying to get seats inside.
I've stayed twice, the staff have always been excellent. All really friendly and do as much as possible to make you feel comfortable. I've stayed at other Village hotels and whilst they are always good this hotel is a step above for customer service
Lovely hotel and receptionist was friendly & helpful as we stayed for the concert recently, lovely breakfast cereals, bacon sausage ect ,bar staff was lovely but very slow to pull 2 drinks a chop a strawberry.
The stay overall was lovely, the hotel is very modern, rooms are beautifully furnished and the staff are lovely. The gym staff in particularly were very helpful.
The hospitality was excellent. The room was pleasantly comfortable and clean. The hotel staff was courteous and smiling. I really enjoyed my stay at the hotel
