Ideally situated for me. I needed the town centre and local hospital. It’s a former Premier inn and a little dated, but I found it comfortable and again, very clean. I had to stay an extra night and the staff were very accommodating.

The restaurant and bar were great with friendly staff, a good choice of food in a lovely setting, the food was delicious.
The room was spacious however our room 110 was overlooking the rear of the building the view was of cables and fans which could be heard through out the night. On checking my payment details I discovered they charged me twice, when I spoke to the receptionist she apologised and said she would credit my payment back, she wasn’t aware I had made the payment earlier in the day before my arrival following a telephone call from a different hotel receptionist, I couldn’t understand why this didn’t show up on their computer when I checked in? It appears there’s a lack of communication between staff members. Looks fabulous on entry but rooms need updating. The setting by a lake would probably be great in the summer but this time of year the pathway around the ground was notoriously muddy and overgrown.
