staff great, accommodated me on the ground floor as I'd had a hip injury. Was grateful as lift was broken.
Breakfast a bit dried out. Said room had a tea/ coffee maker wasn't told it was me. Rubbish coffee in room. the remaining meals we had were good.

We didn't visit the village as it was a place to pass through on the search for attractions and facilities, although the accommodation is in easy reach of the main roads and the quietness is a welcome relief from the hustle and bustle and traffic queues, even the potholes add a charming character to the roads and remind you that you are in the countryside, where other things take precedence.
As the hosts were so welcoming, it is just a pure pleasure to be in this part of South West Scotland.
