Plenty of room for us all and it was close to the event we were attending. It was very stylish.

Have stayed in HI Express before, and was pleased with service and room - that at Kettering was absolutely fine, with all the facilities that you would expect or need. Comfy bed, sensible bathroom layout, and close to sites to visit. Good, filling breakfast.

Pub hotel in quiet village. Entry and reception via the pub. The room was a good size, bright and smart with a window over the courtyard; lots of birdsong. Clean, newly furnished with a comfortable double bed. Clean, crisp white linen and good pillows. Two drawer side table and two bedside chest of drawers with lamps. Tele, tea/coffee making facilities. Comfy chair and mirror. Fair sized en suite shower room and toilet. Shower gel. Plenty of good large fluffy white towels. Shower cubicle large. Everything beautifully clean and shiny. Hairdryer.
For the less mobile; the room is up some narrow steep stairs. Downstairs is a nice friendly pub with restaurant attached. Very good food and two Grainstore ales. Breakfast was good with juice, cereals, traditional or vegetarian breakfast, toast & tea or coffee.
Free parking. Friendly & helpful staff.

We came as traders for the Marston Steam Fair and Desborough was a good a place as any to book a hotel room for one night as the show was only on for two day. The local area seemed very clean and welcoming. And they have many eating places and shops but unfortunately we didn't have the time to explore the area. We went to a lovely Indian restaurant just up from the R Inn Hotel and it was very nice, the staff were extremely helpful and friendly.

I am a frequent visitor to the hotel its in a good location quite close to my work.
Staff are good and facilities and food also good.
Exceptional value for money.
Car park appears to be under renovation which is good as it can get a bit muddy in the winter.

I greatly enjoyed the quirkiness of local residents and established village living i.e. outdoor markets and people going about daily routine. The village has a certain charm, perhaps not immediately apparent but quickly grows.
The pace is slow and relaxed but also has vitality. Centrally located with speedy access to larger towns/cities should you wish to venture further.

Very off-the-beaten track but reflects semi-rural UK life wonderfully. Plenty of 'interesting' characters but generally friendly. An extremely old village and you quickly gain the impression current residents are from families who've lived in/around the area for many generations.
Don't expect a high-street shopping experience but if you enjoy a range of take-away food Desborough's your place. Perfect location for travellers to consolidate en-route to destinations further afield.

I would stay there again out of convenience if I was at a function there.
If you pay for breakfast they send you to the cafe two doors down. The cafe was nice.
The on-site restaurant was nice and we got discount as we were staying in the hotel. Good cocktails.
I think they should thoroughly clean the rooms as this is what let’s them down.
The bed was large and very comfortable. The bathroom was very good especially the corner bath with tall taps. The bar[/lounge was also very nice, super sized tables suitable for parties and classy looking bar. All the hotel was very clean. And the staff very nice. Large tv's on the wall's of the bedroom and bar areas. Hotel in a good location for pub across the road. And lovely Indian restaurant in walking distance which we recommend.
This is just what was needed. The hotel is exceptionally clean and tidy. Rooms were fine and comfortable. It was the hottest day of the year so the room was very warm but not too bad.
The receptionist was very helpful and informative. The hotel restaurant was very nice and the food was fantastic. I would recommend the hotel if value for money is key.
Excellent service and homely feel. Only a night stay last minute but everything was what I needed. Best breakfast I have ever had in a hotel well done girls x
Nice staff on check in, nice hot showers, little chilly by window but heating soon kicks in. Easy access to hotel at night. I was coming in late after work
