1. Great listening by the night supervisor (Spanish young lad)
2. Caring to know which room I was to reside by the same night supervisor of 27th April to help carry my load to the door as am old and breathing was a hustle

The location is what wins this property over: Walking distance from the beach, pubs and great views. Easy access to sights and towns around the SE UK. You have a cozy view of the English channel from the living room and bedroom. Great on park facilities. Pool is clean and constantly monitored by lifeguards. Host instructions were very clear, punctual, correct and friendly.

Deal is a lovely little seaside town. We love it! Almost everything is within a reasonable walking distance. Lots of cute little boutique shops open. The only thing really to note is that phone signal and mobile internet dignal isn't very good, we really struggled with being able to consistently get even any decent signal.

Deal is a charming, slightly decrepit town.
Deal is a charming, slightly decrepit town. It has some beautiful old lanes and houses. Very historic. Huge beach. Lots of coffee shops. Lots of individual interesting shops but needs investment to come to life. Shops and bars are mostly only open Thursday to Sunday. It has an abandoned feeling during the week. We really loved the fish and chips! There’s an amazing fish monger close to the town hall. It’s got a lot going for it but it’s not Salcombe or Southwold! It’s easy to get there on the train from St. Pancras station in central London. There are many holiday cottages. We saw people swimming in the sea in the morning. Cycling along the shore is popular and you can go for miles. There are things to do there. It’s got great possibilities. We really liked it.

I loved the people in this place so helpful and friendly, Recommend two cafes for a fantastic breakfast, The Kings Coffee and The Hog and Bean.
There are lots of charity shops and quirky shops to look around and a very popular bakery. On a Saturday there is a market. There is also a castle but unfortunately we didn't get round to visiting.

Very pretty seaside town; easy to explore on foot.
Very pretty seaside town; easy to explore on foot. Lots of independent shops, but there are two big supermarkets too. Lots of cafes! Interesting history very well described on clear tourist information boards along the seafront. Beware midweek in low season as most of the museums and both the castles are only open at weekends. That said, the coastal path is delightful and I spent my time (two weekdays in November) happily walking by the sea even though the attractions weren't open. Excellent public library with good local history section too.

A lovely area, with lots of great cafes and restaurants. Lots of wonderful little shops with quirky arts and crafts to see. A nice historical little town that was a great place to relax for a few days.
Would love to visit again in the Summer time.
Excellent location in the best part of Deal right on the promenade with all of the restaurants and entertainment spots within a few minutes walk. Nice clean big room with good shower. Pretty comfortable bed compared to many other places we've stayed at. Decent TV.
We had a meal on our last night there and it was good quality food with generous portions.
We accidentally left a bag in our room when we checked out and we quickly phoned the hotel who were kind enough retrieve the bag and store it for us until we picked it up later
The Old Rectory is a magnificent property which is situated just outside Deal. It is in a very good location for travelling around the Kent countryside and coastal areas and provided us with an excellent base from which to explore the area. We were made very welcome by our host, Helga, who showed us to our fabulous room with its own access in the grounds. A fabulous freshly cooked breakfast was provided, together with assorted fruit and cereal options, and nothing seemed too much trouble for our very pleasant host.
Normally places like the Waterfront Hotel are out of my league, budget-wise but sometimes in the depths of the off-season opportunities arise and this was one of those occasions. The room was on the third floor and was basic but more than met my needs. Breakfast, served by 'bubbly' Maria, was similarly good. The hotel's name pretty much sums up its location, on the front at Deal and within a stones-throw of the pier and other features of Georgian Deal.
Very comfortable cottage. Well maintained with nice furnishings. Very comfortable beds. Plenty of clothes storage space and hangers. Right in middle of Deal. Close to supermarkets, High Street and Beach. Excellent communication with owner. Welcoming card and box of chocolates. Lots of crockery, cutlery and glasses. Coffee maker with lots of pods. Smart TV with access to my Netfllix account.
Fantastic location overlooking Deal beach. We stayed in the Lighthouse Suite which was perfect for holidaying two young kids as they had their separate room with their own tv and living room. It was very helpful having breakfast supplies (cereal, milk etc) in the room as the hotel doesn’t serve breakfast. The staff were also helpful and friendly
Amazing property, great location in Deal and the hosts made it all the better!! They welcomed us with beer/wine and were friendly/helpful throughout our stay. Continental breakfast was great—we already miss the warm morning croissants. Room was really clean and bed was really comfortable.

Comfortable en-suite room, and staff very welcoming and helpful. Great location c.300yds from the coast.
Solo (female) traveller; felt safe throughout my stay both when the bar/beer garden was open or late at night (access to rooms through beer garden), highly recommend this hotel if staying in Deal.
This is a lovely hotel with a very good location in deal. The food was very good and could not fault the breakfast provided or our evening meals so well done to the chef and kitchen staff. Finally the staff make this hotel special in particular Pam , Maria and Jeff could have not done enough for us.
Hotel ideally situated on the sea-front. Lovely fronted buildings with fresh hanging baskets of flowers, and plenty of outside seating for drinks / food. All staff were wonderful, very pleasant, very helpful. Bedroom was located at the rear & 2 flights of stairs up, so very quiet.
Very impressed with the Bathroom with Bath And Shower, Very Comfy Bed, Breakfast was Great with Great Sausages And Especially They Had MARMITE ,I've just come back from a tour in Scotland and stayed at 5 Hotels and no Marmite to be seen so a Big plus to You
The hotel was conveniently located. Staff was friendly and helpful. The cooked breakfast was excellent. The room was clean and comfortable. The evening bar with the "honor system" was excellent with a good variety of drink available.
there was a definite “beach” charm. most all amenities were provided with some nice extra touches. was hoping for some water view, it a short walk away to enjoy the beauty and charm of the Deal coast.
Location was convenient to Deal, and golf courses we played. Excellent food and bar. Rooms upstairs were spacious and quiet. We had rental car and had plenty of parking available.
The Hotel room was quirky With so much character. Room was clean spacious bright and airyEven had a coffee machine!! Hotel is bang in the middle of all the Cafes shops ideal location
Great location, minutes from the beach & 10 mins to the centre of deal. Deal is a great location to tour the Kent coast & far more genteel than the likes of Broadstairs.
