Absolutely everything was just perfect. Will definitely be visiting The Townhouse hotel again. Rooms were fantastic, beds were really comfortable with lovely white ironed linen. We had dinner in the restaurant, which was amazing. Breakfast was cooked to order, which was really yummy. Top 10 marks to the Townhouse hotel and staff.

We are an outdoors couple, in our early 60s, with a 3yr old airedale terrier and who love walking every day, so Darnick is perfect for us. A comfortable 20-30min stroll along a cycle/footpath takes you right into Melrose with all its shops, pubs, cafes and history. It is also perfect for walking in the amazing countryside around the river Tweed and the Eildon hills, with numerous waymarked trails of varying distances and times.
