Location was convenient for the event I was attending.
I had booked a single but was upgraded to a double, which was nice.

The staff were very helpful. Our room was comfortable and the en-suite nice and clean. Breakfast was adequate, though could have benefitted from having some pastries. The hotel was set in lovely grounds.

Amazing stay. Staff incredibly friendly, from reception to dining and bar staff. Accommodation was spotlessly clean.

The place hasn't changed much since the time I lived two miles away prior to going to University-including a very high level of traffic, much of which was surely supposed to have been eradicated when the A3095 was re-routed to avoid the town in the late 80s. Maybe an additional bypass for other routes into and out of the town is required?

I liked the location in a quiet area, plenty of parking available, friendly and helpfull staff, quiet bar downstairs a home like feel all around. Could be a little more modern but overall i enjoyed my stay and would stay there again.
I was not informed that there would be no breakfast and the dining room was closed. Having arrived by train in the evening and with no car this meant searching for somewhere to buy something for breakfast. We walked to a local pub for dinner and bought sandwiches from a local petrol station.
On arrival, there were also no toiletries in the room. Fortunately I usually bring my own but it was disappointing after we had been told the hotel had a good reputation.
I rarely write reviews, but here I would like to share my experience of living in this hotel with pleasure. Because you can hardly find such customer service even in 5 star hotels. The hotel management did everything to make the stay at the hotel pleasant. I would not like to list this scroll. Just take my word for it, you will be taken care of as VIP clients! Will definitely stay here again! And I will recommend this hotel to my friends!
Breakfast was great with delicious boiled eggs!
We visited the area during the coldest time of the year. The hotel provided us with extra blanket and a heater which helped us a lot. The hotel owner ran miles for us to make sure our son was on time for the school assessment. Warm and gentle hotel.
Spacious room with a good outlook to the front. Although facing onto main road very little traffic noise.
Room was clean. Overhead shower not to my partners liking ( hair getting wet unnecessarily )
As we were visiting friends we didn't have any breakfast at the Hotel.
Really welcoming hotel, comfortable bed, plenty of parking and in a pretty residential area. Breakfast and dinner were delicious, thank you Chef Mark! Look out for the home baked cookies at reception.
Good location. Close to a main road but quiet area. The hotel is within walking distance of the train station and restaurants/ cafe.. Staff was pleasant. Good size room. Comfortable bed.
Staff were friendly and helpful. The room was ideal - perfect for our short stay. The hotel was about a 15 minute walk to the station so location was great, too. Very comfortable stay.
