The place hasn't changed much since the time I lived two miles away prior to going to University-including a very high level of traffic, much of which was surely supposed to have been eradicated when the A3095 was re-routed to avoid the town in the late 80s. Maybe an additional bypass for other routes into and out of the town is required?

The bed was very comfortable. Our room was at the rear of the hotel on the ground floor with its own separate entrance. Very quiet overlooking the garden. We only wanted a bed & bathroom whilst visiting family so this room was just what we required. We didn't have breakfast or eat in the restaurant.

Breakfast was great with delicious boiled eggs! We visited the area during the coldest time of the year. The hotel provided us with extra blanket and a heater which helped us a lot. The hotel owner ran miles for us to make sure our son was on time for the school assessment. Warm and gentle hotel.

We didn’t have breakfast in the hotel as we thought it was expensive at £15 and in fact saw no one in the breakfast room when we left
