The Cross Keys Hotel, hotel in Criggion

This 18th-century, Grade II listed building is situated in the delightful village of Llanymynech, which straddles the border of Shropshire, England; and Powys, Wales.

The kitchen at the pub/hotel was out of action so they paid for me to have breakfast at a little cafe opposite, that was probably the best bit. Also ate dinner at the nearby Dolphin Inn which was superb fresh fish- recommend that place.

There are a number of good local eateries - one just a couple of hundred yards from the front door, and the rest accessible by car. Criggion itself is just a handful of scattered houses but there are plenty of nice places to visit within 20 miles or so.
