The atmosphere of this place is really cool, lively bar and love the quirky features in the rooms. Staff were very friendly, welcoming and breakfast in the morning was delicious and very good quality, loved that you could choose how you wanted your eggs. Despite the lively atmosphere downstairs in the evening, my room was peaceful and couldn't hear downstairs at all. Check in and check out were both easy and appreciated that the invoice for my trip was emailed to me straight away saving me from chasing up afterwards. My room had a beautiful bathroom with lovely bathtub and shower. Bed was huge and mattress very comfy but the pillows were quite hard.

Very good staff who looked after us well. A very comfortable spacious room and bed with a great view facing the hillside.
A very good meal in the evening and an extremely tasty breakfast - it couldn't have been better value for money!

Crewkerne is a medium size market town with beautiful buildings. It has only one hotel and that is the Crooked Swan Inn which is highly recommended.
The town has all the other services to make a pleasant stay.

Crewkerne was ok.
Crewkerne was ok. We only stay there because it was the closet town to a venue we were attending. My only issue is that it is difficult to get a meal in Crewkerne on a Sunday evening - only one option really

The place didn't really match the website.
The place didn't really match the website. Its really needs upgrading. Coming up to the front we passed it thinking it was an empty run down pub . Chalets are OK. Mis matched bedding but clean. Noisy workers next door for the last 2 nights. Didn't see any other families there .got the feeling just used for contractors and workmen .such a shame the place could be made beautiful if effort put into it

nothing to like it was a dump surprised anyone would take it on there books. they should pay you to stay there. booking was for a director had to be in that area only that available (wonder why) he slept in his clothes it stunk of urine got there late not able to book anywhere else. it looked ok on photos on site for a quick overnight stop as long as it was clean & acceptable. it was not a hotel it was a so called BB. shame on booking.com to even entertain it on there books. they should refund money. beware stay well clear.

A market town that is easy to get around.
A market town that is easy to get around. Lots of characteristic buildings with a fabulous old church which is well worth a visit. Crewkerne is situated in South East Somerset, close to West Dorset and East Devon. There are several brilliant places to visit such as Montacute House (NT) and Forde Abbey as well as a 40 minute drive to beautiful Lyme Regis. The towns roads can get a bit busy as it sits on the A30. Street parking is generally limited to 2 hours, but there are a few public car parks and these offer generous fees at just £2.15 per day. Look out for the numerous blue plaques on buildings that tell stories and the history associated with the place.

The George is a fine place to locate: a pleasant town and fairly easy to get to several nearby seaside destinations. Staff extremely courteous and helpful, creating a pleasant atmosphere in charming surroundings.
booked for a director who needed to stay in that area to collect goods next morning. hotel was dirty stunk of urine he slept in his clothes. it was a shit hole basically thats all you can say about it. why you have this BB on your books & call it a hotel is beyond me, surely you should check properties before you put them on your books, even the write ups on your site give no idea how bad it is. shame on you to even expect someone to stay in a place like this. you should pay customer to stay not them pay you.
We stayed at the Stagecoach for 2 nights for a wedding and we had a great time. Rooms were clean and big enough for the both of us, staff were extremely helpful and kind and there were also two friendly dogs that we fell in love with. The hotel is right next to the station so was perfect for us to come and go to the wedding. Wouldn't hesitate staying here again if ever in Crewkerne!
The hotel is very old, but priced fairly considering. The rooms vary a lot in terms of size and amenities. One of the 2 we booked was very small with only a shower. The other was quite large with a sizable bathroom. Breakfast was included - cooked to order, full English - very nice! If you are looking for a clean bed, at a reasonable price, then the George has you covered.
Excellent everything you need cosy comfortable well appointed kitchen all appliances and equipment. Comfy beds lovely wood burner. Pet friendly, caring owner. Large garden perfect for dogs, Crewkerne very close good range shops and amenities. Nature reserve a mile away for dog walking. Clean and welcome gifts too.Perfect will be returning later in year visiting relatives.
The hotel is right in the centre of Crewkerne. All the creature comforts are here for you and the staff really do aim to please. The food is excellent and I couldn’t recommend it highly enough. As a base to go and see some lovely local attractions this place makes a great choice for a truly enjoyable stay! Thanks to all the staff at The Crooked Swan!
The staff were excellent at this hotel. The cooked breakfast was also excellent. We stayed in the Magnolia Suite and I have to say….the bed was huge. Best part about out stay to be honest. I think during the summer months, this location will be stunning. Hot air balloons took off just outside our window on the weekend of our stay. That was awesome.
Everything was beautiful. The wonderful furniture around and the gardens with their separate fancy shed areas with heat and light.
I would definitely recommend the hotel, restaurant and grounds. The staff were friendly and did everything they possibly could for you.
We will go back.
the honeymoon suite with the copper tub is exceptional. I enjoyed every moment in the hotel. The antiques are so perfectly curated. The partner/wife of the owner owns an antique shop and her taste is *chefs kiss
Honestly, they should be winning design awards. just lovely.
This was our second visit to this lovely apartment. It was very clean and comfortable and contained everything we needed. It was a pleasure to deal with the owner/manager. The location is within walking distance of the centre of Crewkerne. Would definitely return.
The hotel is well located in the centre of town, but there is no directly associated car parking. The twin room with ensuite shower was plenty large enough and comfortable enough, and the breakfast was good, being of wide choice, well cooked and well presented.
We loved our stay at The George Hotel. Comfortable room, great location and good breakfast. However it was the new owners Jackie and Karen who really made our stay. Such a wonderful welcome and they really went out of their way to accommodate us.
The Hotel was exceptional! The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly, the rooms were comfortable, clean and well stocked with everything we needed for our weeks stay! Perfect, would definitely recommend and stay again.
My third stay at the George hotel, under it's new owners. It's been excellent on all three stays. The food is superb, the room's are spotless, and the staff are very welcoming and friendly. Always a pleasure.
Staff friendly and helpful. Hotel building is full of character. Room well appointed with modern and very clean bathroom facilities. A good English breakfast was included in the price.
