Kirkmay House, hotel in Crail

Set in Crail in the Fife region, Kirkmay House has a garden. With free private parking, the property is 12 km from St Andrews Bay and 16 km from St Andrews University.

There was a swing outside. The local chippy does the best chips I've ever had. The DVD's and books were great for my kids. My kids were really impressed by the whole place. We went for my birthday and the kids wished we had stayed 2 nights and that is high praise from them, as they just prefer home usually. There was a wood burning stove.

    I loved Crail.

I loved Crail. The village was so amazing the views out of this world. The bus service was great and the public really helpful. The Harbour is on a hill in case your pushing a wheelchair, its okay going down but it will be a little tricky coming up. Food was great, but not a lot of pubs. The coastal walk was closed the days I was there but, the bus driver took me to the nearest entrance so I could walk the coast pathway.

    Lovely little town.

Lovely little town. Our accomodation was in an excellent location with magnificent views. It was very peaceful. The apartment was only partially renovated. The decor was a bit tired. Covering an old dirty sofa with blankets doesn’t really hide it.

A lovely old village in the Eat Neuk of Fife.

A lovely old village in the Eat Neuk of Fife. Good to just wander around. Coastal path walk and nearby beaches. Plenty to do and see in the surrounding area. Crail has plenty of good places to eat in such a small village and a choice of grocery shops for the self catering visitors. Very quiet but very friendly. The Golf Hotel does lovely lunches and there's a beautiful cafe and gallery on the way down to the harbour.

Crail is a lovely little village and is easy to walk to the beach, has local shops and a cafe. It was also near to St Andrews where we were attending a wedding. We would definitely have explored more if we had more time

Crail has been a part of my life for a long time.

Crail has been a part of my life for a long time. It has everything you need to enjoy a good holiday and it is within easy reach of so many nice villages and towns. Highly recommended. Golf hotel offers a varied menu, dog friendly and has outdoor tables if weather is nice. Waterfront in Anstruther is also great place to eat. Swing park at the beach ( RoomBay)and a safe wee pool which is great for crab catching.
