Set in a rural Scottish village.. the hotel was built by a soldier who returned from the battle of Waterloo. Its a home built in 1870s. If you think its a Marriott… it is not. Don’t even bother if you are looking for a corporate hotel experience. They have nice clean rooms, comfortable beds. The tile walls in the bathrooms glistened they were that clean. 2 robes, bath sheets for after bath / shower. The people have heart and give you every courtesy. They will pack you a lunch for a hike/hunting or fishing. The breakfast was in a beautiful room where we saw pink camellias out of the windows it’s a magical journey back in time.
Set in the rural region of Perthshire, the Meikleour Arms is located at the heart of the conservation village of Meikleour, well known for its impressive trees and salmon fishing.
