Really enjoyed our stay, was presently surprised by just how nice it was.
Bathroom was brand new with high spec fixtures and fittings, room was light and airy and tastefully decorated. We stayed in room 34 (small double) locations literally 5mins from the town. Above all the management seem to care and truly mean to keep and well kept establishment with a good reputation. The welcome letter welcomes feedback and the staff seem to be happy and in good spirits. Again this tells that the owners are good employers.
Lately with many establishments I feel a trend to inconvenience the customer in favor of penny pinching even if the thing the establishment is withholding/limiting doesn't actually cost the hotel.. for example, here allowed us to check in early and park our car and even let us keep our car there up to 1pm on the day of checkout. Breakfast selection was generous and extensive and the time window wide to allow the customer to be up and off or lay in after a heavy night. Also the bars drinks were reasonably priced again showing the owners appreciate the customers as people and not just wallets.
Sounds daft but little things like this stack up to give a happy experience.
