Location beside the River Teme idyllic; with a lovely garden. Food exceptional all homemade; even the ice cream. Room very comfortable and spotlessly clean. Staff very friendly and helpful.
Its such a beautiful and homely house with amazing views,...
Its such a beautiful and homely house with amazing views, lovely local walks too. The large conservatory with log burner was the hub of the home and a real treat to spend time in. We were there as 9 friends for a 50th birthday, all had their own bed but some were very cramped in rooms.
We still had a fabulous weekend waking up to that view and a pheasant wandering past your window as well as all the bird song was fantastic.
You need a car really to get to anywhere but that wasn't a problem for us as we were quite happy to stay put and enjoy the views. We did spend a day in Ludlow, luckily the castle had a spring food fair on that was so fab and well worth a visit.
Bad points - and not really bad at all but just for information. Some of the rooms are a little cramped with too many beds but if it was a smaller family group this would be fine.
If you are the type of people who love long hot power showers, don't book here as the 2 showers are pretty dire, too hot or too cold and literally dribbling water at times. We had to make do with body washes and shallow baths but didn't let it ruin our break as it was only 2 nights, any longer could have been difficult. As long as you're pre warned it should be fine. It wouldn't stop me returning.
