A wonderful stay from start to finish, all the staff were very friendly and welcoming. The room was very comfortable and well equipped. We were given fresh milk for brews in the room which was a lovely touch. We booked an evening meal here and had breakfast the following morning, all delicious and very large portions! Good drinks selection behind the bar. Fabulous location for exploring Helmsley itself and the surrounding area.

Good location for walking or scenic for driving.Prepare for self catering expect to have to drive further for supplies and a bit pricey but plenty of pubs dotted around.
We ate at the Buck Inn at Chop Gate very nice.You can walk the Cleaveland way or sections of the Coast to Coast path.Very hilly!
worth the climb, the view is fantastic. and it's beautiful countryside.
