Staff were very helpful and friendly. I was traveling with my son and all though we arrived very late in the evening after the kitchen staff had finished, they had prepared a cold platter for us to enjoy on arrival which was very enjoyable. At the same time we left early morning and they gave us a take away breakfast to enjoy on our journey. We will definitely be back.

A spacious room and bathroom with oodles of olde world charm. The staff were lovely and friendly and went out of their way to make us feel at home.
The breakfasts were delicious and the bed very comfortable.

Easy to access. Efficient and friendly staff. Good food for that type of hotel, with a nice breakfast offer. Clean, modern and comfortable, it is a very good value for the money.

We stayed at the start of the summer holidays and hence were caught up in heavy traffic on the A20 enroute to Dover. Apparently that happens quite frequently, so factor this in to travel times. Very close to Leeds Castle, and not far from Canterbury and Sissinghurst so plenty to do in the area.

The Bowl Inn is not actually in Charing but about 2 miles from the village down a narrow and windy country lane. The pub is on its own with hardly any other buildings within walking distance. Charing itself is an extremely attractive village and well worth a visit for an hour or so.
We booked to stay at the red lion after it was recommended to us by friends,we had spent the day shopping in ashford at the designer outlet and were both looking forward to relaxing and having a relaxing evening and having dinner.we had already seen pictures of the room we had reserved but were both very pleased when we got checked in as it had Everything we wanted and more ..very clean and comfortable with en-suite bathroom with a lovely comfortable bed followed by a lovely cooked breakfast the following morning 10 out of 10 across the board.
The Bowl Inn is a lovely pub located in the countryside with easy access to many beautiful villages and also not far from Maidstone. Great spot to use as a base for touring around Kent & East Sussex. Great food and very comfortable accommodation. Super friendly and cosy place! If we lived close by this would be our local for weekend meals/visits.
It is what I expect a pub to be like!
Fantastic team of staff that catered for our every need & more. I have many food intolerancies & Rachel researched & checked all their food & printed me out special menus. She even printed us out a map for our nearby Vineyard tour. Everything was spotlessly clean & we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Big thanks to you all 👌
The room was great, clean and really well furnished. The tea and coffee tray was the best I have ever seen in a pub/hotel ! I love the fact that the owner left everything you need (water, and even wine!), and you can even order food from the pub in your room. I highly recommend it and will maybe stay again myself.
We paid for an evening meal which was exceptional, we left for the tunnel crossing before breakfast, however they supplied us with sandwiches, fruit and drinks. This was excellent and fresh and tasty as the meal the evening before.
Beautiful country pub, with log burner and wonderful atmosphere. The room was large, with uninterrupted views over the Kent country side. Perfect! The food - amazing, including the option for kippers for breakfast.
A little gem of a pub hotel. The room was excellent and a lovely touch having complimentary water a small prosecco bottles in the room. The food was excellent in the pub and the staff extremely friendly and helpful
