Easy to find and close to the Glenfinnan and Glencoe areas and attractions of the West Highlands which accounts for the cost of the rooms. The hotel sits on Loch Linnhe and provides a gorgeous view of the highlands and Ben Nevis. There’s a working boat slip that is not busy. There’s a green space for the dogs to run. Lots of parking. There is a pool, but we didn’t use it. The hotel is very family-oriented and we don’t have kids so we left the pool to the families.
We stayed in the Captain's King Room with Sea View. It was large with king bed, two comfortable chairs, a coffee table, desk, and night stands. The balcony included a table and chairs and overlooked the loch—excellent view. The bathroom was large with a tub and separate shower and a big shelf for our personal toiletries. No robes provided. A kettle was provided along with teas and instant coffee and biscuits. They don’t provide a daily housekeeping service but did upon requested. Though there was a large crowd enjoying the outdoor seating below us at the bar, when we closed the sliding door to the balcony we couldn’t hear the other guests at all—the sound proofing for the hotel was that good!
The restaurant was large as well as the bar. The bar also had outdoor seating. The included breakfast was a buffet of cold cereals and Scottish breakfast which allowed us to pick and chose from the Scottish breakfast instead of being given the whole huge thing!
The staff in the hotel and restaurant very friendly and attentive.
With dramatic mountain views and a stunning loch-side setting, this family-run hotel offers attractive, individually decorated rooms and beautiful gardens.

Fabulous outside deck area to sit and relax with beautiful views of the Loch and hills.
Lovely view of Loch from room too and could open the window for fresh air which was great.
Enjoyed a nice dinner at the restaurant with gluten and dairy free options available.

Truly a gift to ourselves to stay at Glencoe House. Richard and the staff were exceptional. Hats off to the chef who popped in to make sure our meal exceeded our expectations. We utilized the pristine hot tub, affordably priced bar, exquisite accommodations. Put yourself first and enjoy the long history and commitment to service at Glencoe House🏴

The location was excellent. Staff was welcoming and easy to deal with. Breakfast in the morning was good. It's an old inn and looks just a bit tired but understandable given the age and it felt quaint. Bathroom was clean. Beds were comfy. Easy to get to if you are walking the West Highland Way!
