Excellent location downtown. Good jumping off point for exploring the area. And the guy that runs the place (I never did get his name) was really helpful with suggestions for places to see.

I had a lovely stay at North West Castle! The location is perfect. The staff is so incredibly friendly and welcoming! The food was delicious! The room was comfortable and had everything I needed! I did not use the pool/gm facilities, but I walked through and it was very nice!

Room was very comfortable and well appointed; TV needed a wee bit of attention but then worked perfectly (previous guest had been fiddling with it!); breakfast was one of the best cooked breakfasts I have enjoyed when staying away from home - freshly cooked to order and very tasty! A big 10/10 - eggselent!
Homey, friendly and immaculately clean accommodations.
Homey, friendly and immaculately clean accommodations. Pat was so helpful. The driveway is a bit hard to see on the way by but the place is scenic and convenient for leaving on the ferry. Ate a great meal at the Custom House pub.

The location is great, especially for access to the ferry ports. We visited Logan Botanic Gardens, Glenwhan Gardens and Castle Kennedy which are all within a short drive from Cairnryan. We had a lovely meal at Henry's Bay House restaurant in Stranraer. Also had a nice snack from Subway in Stranraer and delicious soup with home made bread at Glenwhan Gardens.
Would avoid trying to find somewhere to eat in Stranraer town as there are few restaurants that looked appealing.

It was where we caught the ferry to Ireland and if ever going again I would definitely use Cairnryan. We used a restaurant by the name of Henry’s Bay 10 mins away and it was very nice would recommend they did a teatime special that was excellent value for money and the staff were very attentive. The route to Ayr from Cairmryan has a beautiful coast way and well worth a drive to. There were some breathtaking views.

Cairnryan sits on the side of Loch Ryan and is therefore one sided. The village is 10-15 minutes from Stranraer which has plenty of pubs, cafes and restaurants. As a touring base or a stopover for the ferry Cairnryan is ideal but if you want nightlife that’s out.
We ate in Henry’s Bay House Restaurant which is very good. As for activities for young couples my wife and I are 73 and 70 years young so no advice on that. On the other side of the loch there are quite a few nice beaches within a 12 mile drive but take a picnic. As stated above touring is ideal. Portpatrick and the Mull of Galloway are well worth a visit in fine weather, as are Castle Kennedy and Logan gardens.

The whole experience was made easy by the friendliness of all. The only problem I had was it was too short. I would have liked to have been able to stay for a few days. But was unable to do so because of the nature of my travel reason.
We found our Garden Suite very comfortable. Check in/out was very easy. Our suite was very very clean and the bed was so comfortable. Lots of black glass which is a nightmare to keep clean and it was all spotless. It was so peaceful and really for us just perfect. Paul recommended Portpatrick so we went there and had lunch in Mount Stewart and it was fantastic. We opted for no breakfast but when handing key back we got the aroma of breakfast and kind of regret it now but always next time.
There was a friendly welcome. The room was spacious and had sofa seats for watching TV. Bottled water was provided, so were chocolates, biscuits and a good range of hot drinks including a nice coffee machine. The proprietors were thoughtful & there was great attention to detail. The hotel is close to the Cairnryan ferry port.
Pat and Bill are very welcoming hosts. The bedroom was spotless. They had thought of everything. All the modern conveniences of a high class hotel in a charming Bed and Breakfast. Pat made us a taste packed breakfast to take on our early ferry the next morning. We would definitely stay here again.
Its an easy to find hotel on the way to Ayr, the staff are amazingly friendly, and very welcoming.
The room was spacious and comfy, well laid out for an overnight stop. I was catching the early ferry to Belfast so didn't sample the breakfast (maybe next time)
The place was clean and nice, so comfortable and private. Almost as close are you can get to Stena line. Walkable distance. The hosts were very kind and made sure that I had everything I needed. And even gave me a ride to the ferry because it was pouring rain!
This hotel far exceeded our expectations and it is ideally placed for anyone using the ferry. He hosts were friendly and very welcoming, which will ensure that this hotel joins our short list of properties that we will use again without hesitation. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Lovely place, exceptionally easy for the ferry I needed to catch the next day. Maggie is a gem and made me feel right at home immediately! The room was lovely and much larger than I had anticipated. I only wish I could have stayed longer.
The hosts were fantastic and very friendly.Made our stay in this fantastic bed & breakfast even more enjoyable would highly recommend this property to any looking to stay in Cairnryan fantastic experience and will most certainly be back
Excellent hosts and very welcoming. Our suite was beautiful throughout with every detail carefully thought through.
Breakfast is just to die for!
A bonus is that the hotel is just minutes from the ferry terminals.
Pat was extremely welcoming , friendly. and we felt very much at ease. The room was immaculate and very comfortable. Pat provides some extra touches that make a stay in Cairnryan B&B special.
The quality and comfort of the rooms was on par with a 4* hotel. The home cooked breakfast a very welcome surprise. Pat is a lovely host who genuinely enjoys welcoming guests.
Absolutely ideal for travellers heading on the early ferries from Cairnryan. Great night's sleep, nice to relax after the journey with a well appointed kitchen and comfy sofa.
Lovely family room on the top floor. Two very large rooms with a bathroom in between. Perfect for a family and less than a 5 minute drive to the ferry.
