Horsted Place Hotel, hotel in Buxted

Horsted Place Hotel has a garden, shared lounge, a terrace and restaurant in Uckfield. This 4-star hotel offers room service, a 24-hour front desk and free WiFi. Guests can have a drink at the bar.

Horsted Place is a wedding factory. This is not a venue for vacationers. The whole operation is focused on weddings. Food is marginal. Service personnel try, but are not properly trained. The most absurd feature was staff wearing ill-fitting white gloves, to serve meals.

Scallow Campsite, hotel in Buxted

Providing a garden, Scallow Campsite provides accommodations in Lewes. The campground, set in a building dating back to 2022, is 8.5 miles from Glyndebourne Opera House and 15 miles from AMEX Stadium....

The camping pod was really cosy and clean, much roomier and more comfortable than I expected. The pods are really well kitted out with kitchenware and home comforts, which is perfect for a solo traveller who can't carry too much with them. Lovely little coffee/tea hamper provided and the hob was really easy to use. The pods are warm and well lit, with a great little decking area to sit out on into the evening. Very comfortable beds and bedding, plenty of towels in the shower room and all the little extra things you might need have been thought of. I would highly recommend the Scallows and would love to visit again myself one day.

Beechwood B and B, hotel in Buxted

With beautiful gardens, Beechwood B and B offers hearty breakfasts and 5-star bedrooms. The award-winning B&B is set in the village of Halland, in scenic East Sussex.

Carol & Ceri went above & beyond as hosts. This is an amazing bed & breakfast. They went out of their way to accommodate us on several occasions and made our trip overseas that much better. The bedroom was so cozy and there is a beautiful backyard to sit down and relax in. Breakfast was great and always punctual! Would definitely recommend to others. We also loved having their 3 dogs around!

A beautiful old house in magnificient grounds.

A beautiful old house in magnificient grounds. The most friendly and helpful staff TEAM we have ever encountered in any hotel we;ve ever stopped at. Nothing was too much trouble. Having served us once they always remembered our name for the rest of the stay. I can't really fault it in any way.

Excellent staff who were friendly and efficient. Nicely decorated room with good modern facilities and very big bed. Enjoyed dinner which was delicious. Went to Stansted House and Spa Valley Railway while staying at the Buxted Inn and would recommend them both.

Buxted is a small village however we were visiting for a family wedding so it was ideal. If you are looking to use the location as a starting point to tour the surrounding areas it is perfect. The train links are great and the station is one minute walk from the hotel. The location has a bar which lets you relax In the evening and also serves meals The train into Uckfield takes six minutes and to London 1.5 hours. Overall a very pleasant, quaint village to just relax and enjoy.

    Lovely room, pleasant staff.

Lovely room, pleasant staff. Some of the hotel looks a little tired and in need of a little TLC. Bar prices are very expensive, unnecessarily so in my opinion. There wasn’t any hot water for the shower this morning which was a shame. Also cold plates at breakfast. Small details that could be improved on.

This was a very convenient place to stay for the event (...

This was a very convenient place to stay for the event (wedding) we were attending. It was close to several lovely villages in nice countryside and surrounded by some lovely countryside. Traffic noise outside was less because it was the weekend and we had windows closed - in summer on a weekday, it would be noisy.

Very well placed for the Bluebell railway and Sheffield Park Gardens. There are also many other places of interest a short drive away. Buxted is somewhat spoilt by the busy main road which runs through it. We ate at the Buxted Inn on both evenings, where the food was excellent.

Beautiful building on a beautiful and peaceful country estate. They were super friendly staff , lovely comfortable and warm room with a gorgeous balcony. Great bathroom and tea and coffee facilities. The waiters in the restaurant were impeccable. Attentive , but without being intrusive. Very helpful and real gentlemen. Thank you especially to Marc who had a fabulous sense of humour too. Both of them on Saturday night were a huge credit to the hotel. Food was gorgeous, lovely open fire and relaxed atmosphere. Will be back.

The view was fabulous from our very comfortable room. The grounds are wonderful with many old and very beautiful trees. The staff were extremely attentive and helpful and fun. The afternoon cream tea was delicious (5* for the scones!), as was dinner and breakfast. The weather was amazing - which of course helps - but I do believe that this lovely hotel would shine even when the sun refused to do so....

I was looking forward to eating in their restaurant, we arrived on a Sunday after the restaurant closed at 4 o'clock. However Nick provided me with alternatives before we arrived, so it was expected and thank you. The shower is fantastic in a modern bathroom and the bed was large and comfortable. I would recommend staying at the Buxted Inn, it's nicely decorated and the staff are friendly.

Nice little quiet location, very friendly locals and staff and couldn’t fault the food or service one bit. Excellent hotel and pub. If ever in the area again I hope I can get a room because there is a lot more food to try, great coffee and tea in the room too 👌 definitely recommend!

Lovely, well stocked bar; room and its inclusions (tea, water, wi-fi all free) was excellent and shower was best I've had in any hotel. Did not eat there, so cannot comment.
