Burnley and surrounding area was not particularly what I hasd hoped for , it seemed to be very "run down" , actually decideded to leave Burnley and headed to Skipton , a much more visitor friendly experience. On the second day wanted to explore the heritage museum but this was closed on Mondays and Tuesdays , so we explored Newchurch in Pendle for the Witch shop the decided to head to the Yorkshire Dales.

We didn't spend time in the town of Burnley. As we have family living in the area, we've visited fairly regularly. The countryside around is beautiful. On previous occasions we've visited a National Trust property and other venues, chosen by them.

The centre is walkable, and there is a variety of shops and eateries and although an old town there modernisation of some of the old buildings, there is a market, and a good bus station but the railway is a little out of town. You can see the embankment of the Leeds and Liverpool canal.

Went for a wedding in Bacup hotel was in a good location for us. Went by car but looked like there were plenty of bus options. Ate at reception so didn't try any of the local eateries but seemed plenty of places to choose from.
Beautiful hotel, lovely restaurants, amazing staff especially Rudolph who held an umbrella for me whilst my husband went to get the car. We had problems starting our car and Rudolph sorted everything fir us and got us to our wedding on time . Would highly recommend, we will definitely be back again from Wales to visit family and friends 😊
The hotel is an older style hotel lots of stain glass windows and dark wood, it has a lovely area for breakfast, bar and reception.
Our room was large with a decent size bathroom, and lovely size bed. We enjoyed the amenities, Nespresso coffee machine, tea, biscuits and kettle.
We also used the leisure centre twice during our visit. Swimming pool is a decent size if a little small, two jacuzzis, a sauna and steam room. We enjoyed these a lot.
Lovely place to stay. Booked it last minute for a birthday treat. Cosy bar area, with log burner. Small and friendly. Only 6 rooms I think, just the type of place we like. Super friendly and helpful bar staff. Food really delicious. Everything I saw coming out of the kitchen looked lovely. Would definitely return. Already planning next visit! I would imagine it gets really busy in summer tho, but a perfect winter break for us
Comfortable house in a fantastic, quiet location, with excellent hosts. Just a couple of minutes walk from beautiful parkland and canal walks. Major supermarkets 5 minutes away, Burnley town center and stations less than 10 mins walk. It was a perfect place to stay while visiting family in the Burnley area. Would highly recommend. Thank you to the hosts for being so responsive and accommodating too!
Located in a quiet side street not far from the town centre and quite close to the football ground. The room was big enough, with desk/table as well as the bed and tea making facilities. A reasonable en suite shower room was also provided. It's an unstaffed property so there is no interaction but that wasn't a big deal. There is also a kitchen area provided.
It was close to Padiham which was where o needed to be for a funeral it was a good size for 4 people although the way it’s set out you can get 7 in and that would still be ok ish as there is a bed in the lounge. It is opposite new houses although it looks a bit of a rough/ industrial area it was fine but overall a decent place to stay for a short while.
The property was about a mile walk from the Burnley football stadium. There were two bedrooms and it was perfect to have a bedroom with 3 single beds for our 3 kids! The downstairs was very nice and equipped! The host was extremely helpful and responsive when I had questions!
Nice location not too far from Burnley town centre with train stations nearby. 3 bus routes also are a few minutes walk away.
Room was nice and clean upon arrival. Not too bad for where I needed to be as part of my job and business trip. I think I would stay again.
Hurstwood Hall is a stunning building and offers an experience in itself to stay somewhere enriched with such history. The service that we received by our hosts was absolutely second to none and sets the standard in all areas so far as to say that it was remarkable.
The staff were very friendly. Always greeted with a friendly smile and could not accommodate you enough. Everyone clearly enjoyed their work. The hotel would hugely benefit from investment as the core building is beautiful it just needs a renovation on the inside.
The property was very clean and modern with plenty of space inside. Great location with parking available outside the property. The owner was very helpful as we arrived at 5am. We well recommended this property needing to staying in the Burnley area.
Good choice for breakfast. Cereals, yogurts, a full English and toast. Full English with 'Burnley' Black pudding was very nice. Rooms very comfy with hospitality tray, tv, hairdryer, shower gel, my room was en-suite check hotel for more info.
Staff welcoming and helpful. Self service breakfast was good and constantly being refreshed by staff. Clean and comfortable room. Evening meal available.
Very convenient for M65 and for visiting Burnley area.
Loved everything about it. The wildlife in the nature area behind the hotel, the food in Wilfrids which was exceptional and in particular the lobster sesame toast. I have no complaints other than the one below
It was immaculate! Decorated to a very high standard.Great location ..slap bang in Burnley town centre. All the different codes for doors were a tad confusing but got there in the end x
lovely quaint inn just outside Burnley, where my husbands family lives. beautiful hotel with a large room, nice pub with friendly staff & a cool outdoor space with a playground.
Paid for room only. Room was clean , modern and comfortable. Extra heater , duvet etc if required.
Friendly owner. Lovely area , and no problem in finding a parking space .
It was so clean, modern and easy to stay there! Everything we needed was in the room (oh except glasses/ice) and there was plenty of room to move. The bed was comfy
