The room was nice, clean and comfortable. Had fridge, kettle and (unexpectadly) some snacks. The staff was great too. There was a good TV that supports streaming services. The location was nice too, with some very good pubs nearby.

We stayed 13 nights as we was working in the area . Parking is £6.00 per night. Pod first night left my Vehicle local . However on the check out day it took two visits from room to my van . 20 minutes now I have a £140 fine . When the Hotel has large parking facilities. I say parking should be free. Not the rights to the car park sold to a ruthless car parking company.

Checked in two the hotel with my wife and little boy we were visiting some family that live near the hotel Check in went fine went to sleep and got woke up to some one trying to open r door at 3.30 in the morning the person made several attempts lookaly the latch was on the door we’re it would not open fully when I here’d the nose I rushed to the door and the person that was trying to open the door ran down the corridor So I phoned front desk and they said it was security checking the room and then the lady on front desk said she would send the manger up to apologise bearing in mind this was around 4 am in the morning and we have a little boy 2 this is unacceptable. The police came and said it was a Sivill matter and weren’t Interstead . The next morning I was insulted buy the front desk staff offering me 20% of my bill for there mistake . I think any body planning on staying in this hotel should have second thoughts . I truly believe the staff r up to something and r not to be trusted . I think we were just very lucky that the security latch was on the door and the guy never got in I just don’t no what he’s plan was if he got in it is absolutely terrifying that you’re not safe at a Marriot Hotel specially when you have small baby .

Paradise wildlife park is an amazing asset to this community. I have never visited a zoo that is so invested in the care of their animals and works conservation. Wonderful day out. The dinosaur animatronics were awesome too

Hotel becoming a bit dated now but staff were very helpful.
Hotel becoming a bit dated now but staff were very helpful. Location good and suited what we were looking.for at the time. Do not see why when it has cost over £100. To stay we were still charged extra for parking and asked to pay for WiFi if we did not join rewards.

Only stayed there as was booked the night before my daughters and as it was only 20mins away from Gaynes Park in Epping it just made sense. It turned out really well situated as there was a Tesco, large Boots and Costa two minuets up the road.
Very handy
The excellent landlady (Janice? I have a terrible memory for names. Sorry) was welcoming and helpful and was apologetic that the bathroom on my floor was temporarily out of action. The premises in general showed signs of wear and tear but the overall feel was of a homely shabbiness that I rather liked. It’s not some soulless, sterile identikit hotel, it’s a guest house of the old school, and perfectly charming in its way. Not the poshest place you’ll ever stay, but excellent value and with friendly accommodating staff.
Second time I've stayed here. Hss everything. Everything works. Recently I stayed in ten hotels/BnB in this area - there was always something wrong: WiFi slow or didn't work, limited power sockets, unimpressive breakfast options, small shower or ensuite. Here there is everything I need and it is of a satisfactory quality, so this is the second time I've stayed here. Sunday breakfast only cold options as no chef so was only charged half price.
Room upgrade was a nice surprise but it was dirty and dusty and not enough towels. Very noisy as lots of doors banging and people moving around in numbers in the corridors. Also disappointed that pool had gone as this was a great asset to the hotel. Shame as I have stayed here many times in the past and it was always such a luxury hotel but not so much at the moment.
Nice looking hotel. Didn’t get one of the modern rooms, the older rooms are very dated. Clean and has everything you need. But we did have to ask for our room to be cleaned and for fresh towels. We ordered food at the restaurant and this was poor. The order was wrong and the food over priced for what you get. Not sure I wild stay again.
Janice was really friendly and helpful. She made my stay very comfortable. The English breakfast in the morning was absolutely amazing.
Location is very convenient - 10 - 15 minute walk to the train station, 10 minute walk to nearby Hoddesdon and 5 minute walk to the center of Broxbourne.
The impeccable hospitality of the owners, who will not disregard any of your requests. Lovely homemade breakfast.
I liked the location. It was possible to find free parking near the hotel, in addition, the hotel offers its own parking spaces.
A few things were really good - hotel has been well refurbished, dinner was available past 10pm with no issue and was the best steak I had eaten in a while too, room very comfortable and spacious, breakfast good selection all piping hot.
I love the location and very great hotel to stay in just a shame about some of the staff duty manger man who doesn’t have a clue what his doing and very rude.
