It is a stunning little cottage perfect for two people. Immaculate, comfortable and homely. I have stayed at three hotels in the previous four days and this was a breath of fresh air. It has everything you need and bags of charm.

The room was very comfortable. The coffee in the room was a bit strong. The only other thing I would say is that it’s a bit daft only being able to switch off both bedside lamps and not only one at a time.
In the heart of Clacton-on-Sea’s vibrant seafront, just a 5-minute stroll from the pier, the Esplanade Hotel provides modern and spacious accommodation.

The family room was lovely and spacious. The location is excellent and so close to the beach and pier. The breakfast was great with good choices. The staff were friendly and helpful.
Loved Brightlingsea. We were pleasantly surprised how peaceful and pretty it was. The museum was very interesting and loved the lake & beach huts. We ate at the Yachtsman twice and the Rosebud. Enjoyed our meals at both places. We travelled out most days to Mersea, Dedham, Holland -0n -Sea, Maldon and Colchester and would recommend all these places.

Brightlingsea is a quaint little town.
Brightlingsea is a quaint little town. Only one way in one way out everyone said and it’s true. Lovely fish and chips in Winkees and a great selection in the kebab shop we even brought some home there was so much left over. The pub we stayed in The Freemasons arms is so friendly and live music most weekends. We went to the promanade to see a music festival which although weather not great we still had a great time. Also it’s not far from clacton on sea where there is lots to do there. A great stay.
This accommodation is a large garage which has been converted into a one-bedroom apartment. It is situated at the back of a house at the end of the garden, facing the sea. the bedroom contains a standard size double bed which is slightly small for someone who measures 6’ 4”. The small kitchen is adequate with an induction hotplate. the bathroom is quite cramped with a very tiny washbasin. It is possible to park in the small road at the back. Overall a pleasant one night stay.
Location was brilliant. Excellent for exploring Essex and Brightlingsea was lovely. It was a cosy house with good facilities in a very quiet area and a Co-op was literally 5 minutes walk away. Would rate the cottage as 3 star not 4 for the reasons stated below....

It's a self catering accommodation with a good arrangement of cooking/eating utensils , as we were visiting friends nearby we ate out most of the time but cooked our breakfast with no problems
Lovely accommodation - clean and comfortable in an idyllic rural setting. Welcoming host and a short drive to a small town with everything you need. Perfect for a weekend away with the kids.
modern, well equipped, clean and tidy. Off road parking within walking distance to centre of town, perfect for a few days stay in wonderful Brightlingsea.
