Location was good with a nice view over the loch, bathroom was nice with a good shower, reception area and bar looked nice though we didn't eat and drink there as we were on a 2 night stay of a 2 week roadtrip, it always looked busy, overall for Skye was good value

This was my favourite stop of the highlands tour. A really beautiful hotel with an incredibly warm welcome from the team. The room was clean and tidy and I left feeling super relaxed. Should have stayed for longer!
In a picturesque bay in the south of Skye, this hotel has beautiful views over the Sound of Sleat and the distant hills of Knoydart.

We had a lovely large room and bathroom overlooking the loch. We chose to eat in the pub/bar as we could have the dogs with us. The food was great and the bar had a great atmosphere. Afterwards we sat in the lounge area with our dogs. Breakfast in the morning was also excellent.

This hostel was much better than many hotels we stayed in ! I have used hostels before as I find them very clean and friendly and my husband a newbie was very impressed.
Lovely big kitchen to cook in and many guests did, you just need wash and put away what you use. Large fridges available . Nice eating area and lounge and a beautiful view of the lock from our window and lovely area out front to sit and enjoy the view - couldn’t fault it !

Breakish is a quiet hamlet. It's a convenient location for visitors to Skye: it's a 5-10 minute drive to Broadford, where there's a supermarket, petrol station and restaurants. It's a similarly short distance from the Skye Bridge. There's a small coffee shop in Breakish itself that does good toasties.

Nice, quiet and comfortable.
Nice, quiet and comfortable. Breakish stopover allows for touring northern Skye island. It is close to Broadford, where purchasing food and petrol is very convenient. Co-op has the lowest price for fuel. One can also see other small villages around. Portree and Storr are within 35 mile range. Eilean donan castle is a 20 minute drive. Nice views from outside. Not worth paying the fees to enter. That is just my point of view. They don't take American express. There is a nice bakery on the side street, near the castle (Manuela's bakery). Nice, fresh sourdough bread/coffee! Saw a lot of pastries too. We did not try those, as we don't eat sugar. But, seemed nice. And they take American express! Be mindful that some of the stores remain closed on Sunday's.

Brilliant accommodation, and privacy was great.
Beach was walking distance from the cabin, and the location was a great base camp for accessing the rest of Skye.
Comfortable facilities, in a relaxing atmosphere.
All you could need is provided… comfortable bed, good shower, log burner, washing machine, tv with sky box and Netflix, and a strong WiFi signal.
Well done 👍🏻, Susan

Beautiful, peaceful tranquil location.
Beautiful, peaceful tranquil location. To be woken by cuckoos in the morning was bliss! Ideally located to explore S.Skye. Very near the Skye Bridge. Only stayed 2 nights on journey south but would love to use Breakish as a base to explore Skye.
Not easy to find somewhere to eat on Sundays, advise booking for an evening meal.
Great to visit Kyle of Lochalsh and research history.
Wonderful place to look for fossils on the beach.

Not a lot in Breakish itself but there is good scenery and it is possible to walk to the beach, sea otters can be seen there. There are several restaurants and cafes within a 10 minute drive….book if you can, they were all very busy (the Claymore doesn’t take bookings). There is also a CoOp supermarket and fuel station in Broadford (10 minute drive). The fuel is less expensive there. There is currently a 5p/litre island subsidy…fuel was 8p litre cheaper than in Lochalsh.

Beautiful quiet location on the south side of the Isle of Skye and in close proximity to the Skye Bridge. Numerous viewpoints and locations of interest within easy access to accommodation. Well stocked supermarket nearby and petrol also available at best price I've seen in Scotland so far! (April 2022).
