Hotel has a fantastic location and the view from the terrace fantastic. Staff were really great and the service excellent. Alderney is such a great location for a short break with the island providing some amazing walks, all can be done in the day. Real rich history and has one “good” of everything…the Indian restaurant in the principal village (10 min walk) fantastic too….

The hotel met our needs exactly.

The hotel met our needs exactly. It is in a great location from which to start out on walks or to catch a taxi to admire the harbour, and all the natural and cultural assets of the island. It is a small island and easy to get around. The hotel has a splendid range of excellent food choices and restaurants. Our beautiful room had magnificent ever-changing views of the wide curve of sandy Braye Beach. An ideal seashore for the less mobile to stroll along. A lasting memory will be the large Hunter's moon reflected in the silvery water at high tide and the sound of gently lapping waves from the comfort of our room at the end the day.

There is a small town , but to get to it it is uphill ( quite steep ) also Wednesday afternoon is half day closing but there is a nice little cafe where you can stop and recover from the walk ! Everyone you pass always say hello, the people are so friendly. Near the harbour there is a little fish and chip shop with a small restaurant (where you can bring your own booze) and also a place where you can hire bikes and electric bikes (there are quite a few steep hills on Alderney) there are also a couple of fairly big supermarkets near the harbour which are well stocked with nearly everything ( if your self catering ) also you can do a boat trip round the island , There isn’t really a lot to do ,it’s very laid back but very relaxing, there is a lot of interesting and amazing history to the island. There are some lovely beaches and great walks ! If you want you can also hire a car.
