The hotel was in a great location for what we needed, and we weren't disturbed at all by noise from the bar, or any street noise.
Set in 26 acres of beautiful landscaped gardens and woodland, Barnett Hill features an oak-panelled dining room, free parking, and luxury toiletries, just 5 minutes from Guildford.
Lovely village in Surrey. It has at least two pubs, a local shop, post office, fish and chip shop, greengrocer. The main road is busy, but quiet at night. Close to Guildford and areas of outstanding beauty.

Quiet, ground floor room with one's own access. Comfy bed, copious breakfast and good dinner.
Good to have a reserved parking space though sometimes difficult to access the main road because of fast moving traffic.

This is a lovely historic village with a few very old buildings. Near enough to Guildford for a visit without being in a big town. Good bus links to the train station. Friendly shop owners and nice places for eating out

I only stayed for a wedding.
I only stayed for a wedding. Both the pub where I stayed and the pub a couple of doors away where my son and daughter stayed were very nice, very friendly staff in both.
Can't really comment on the area, looks very nice, but didn't go out and about much except to the wedding.
The wedding was about 4 miles away, my only observation is that Uber doesn't work out there and as the cabs have to come from Guildford, they are not cheap.
A taxi for 5 of us to go 4 miles was £25, taxi back for 7 of us was £35.
Those prices was us agreeing a price with the taxi firm on ordering. The taxi that cost us £25 said £32.50 on the meter, so make sure you prebook and negotiate a price first.
Wedding was at as place called Gate Street Barn in Bramely, that place was superb
The Wheatsheaf pub where we stayed has a lovely dog in the pub, not sure if other dogs are welcome in the pub or not (probably are, you better check though) . The pub a couple of doors away had owners and their dogs coming in all night, so is definitely dog friendly.

There was nothing to dislike.
There was nothing to dislike. We would definitely stay here again if we were in the area. It's only a short walk into the village too with a couple of nice pubs. We had a balcony room. There was a steep spiral staircase leading up to the room so perhaps not great for the elderly or disabled. There are other rooms too.
The host supplied us with water, milk, tea, coffee, bread, jams and even chocolate! What a star!

Not a lot to tell as I was only stopping the one night, before seeing a friend in the locality.
However, I can recommend the Indian restaurant which was virtually next door to the Wheatsheaf and the local garage (approx. 200 yards up the road) opened early and I was able to buy a daily newspaper at 6.00 a.m.
