We booked a last minute get away with 4 children and we got lucky! We've stayed at some beautiful hotels, hotels that are more modern and new but they are never as clean as this hotel is. From entering the door the place is immaculate. We had a lovely quiet stay. Very comfortable would definitely recommend. Thank you for having us x

Fantastically located in the centre. Absolutely spotless. Bed super comfy and bedroom felt like my own! Staff very welcoming and the bar area is great!
Lovely place and the canal at back of pub. Another pub over the can at back of pub that I would try as well next visit. There is lovely walk over on the other side of the canal. Plus very dog friendly.

Bolton le sands is a quiet village, with a lovely beach for dog walking and stunning walks along the canal.
It is the Door way to the lakes so not far to access any of the Lake District attractions and beauty.

The Royal Hotel was our stopover stay on the way up and down from the Scottish Highlands. It was a great choice as very dog friendly (canal behind hotel to walk our dog), free parking basic but more than adequate room and above all it serves fantastic food and beer which we can not recommend highly enough. Will definitely stay again when heading northwards again. 😊
Good first impressions when you walk through the door. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable and clean. With a restaurant and bar downstairs you don’t need to leave the place in the evening. The breakfast that was included with price of the hotel was most enjoyable.
The hotel has a good bar/restaurant (food was very good)- and a great beer garden- close to the canal, though below it. Easy to walk along the canal for a peaceful walk including great views across the bay.
Comfortable bed and good pillows. Lots of plugs/usb points.
The food was exceptional both in the evening restaurant and breakfast. All staff were very welcoming. The bed was very comfortable. It was very clean. Great parking right outside the hotel. I appreciated the fan provided in the room as it was a very warm night.
The hotel is very dog friendly. Great area to sit out in.
Food is very good.
Plenty of parking just across the road.
Ideal place to stay if getting the Ferry from Heysham. Staff are very helpful and friendly.
Room was spacious and clean beds very comfy .
Easy check in , staff were pleasant and helpful.
Will definitely return . Had a meal here at the Royal hotel and the food was exceptional.
Really warm welcome on arrival, friendly staff, lovely clean hotel, food and drinks a bit expensive, but accommodation very reasonably priced, breakfast is lovely
