We stayed in the Llechwedd Glamping tents as we wasn’t able to stay at the hotel.
We were very happy with our accommodation, it felt like we were staying in a cabin as opposed to a tent!
It was clean, warm and very comfortable.
The beds were lovely, the shower was fab and we had a fully equipped kitchenette where we cooked some lovely meals.
As there’s no TV, we played board games and cards which was great as these days too much family time can be spent on phones or television/films. We had breakfast on our own terrace and walked our dogs on the Quarry paths early in the morning.
Watching the zip lines across the quarry was fun too!
We had our own log fire which was a lovely treat of an evening whilst playing chess.
Highly recommended.

It's a very cosy cottage. All clean and there is everything for cooking.
The location is superb: a lovely view of the mountains and waterfalls from the window, a high street with shops within walking distance, and main landmarks are a 30-40min drive. We all enjoyed this little quiet cottage as our holiday space.

Quirky, bed was comfy, easy self check in, owner provided places to eat after arriving. Breakfast was self serve, there was cereal, muffins, bacon and hard boiled eggs. Bread was also provided. In the kitchen was toaster and microwave. Jams, butter, milk and cheese were in the fridge. Beautiful views of the mountains (unless you're short like me, lol my partner enjoyed them though)

Traditional Welsh ex-mining village/small with a stunning mountainous backdrop. Blaunau-Ffestiniog is definitely a sad relic of a once thriving town although still retains a of charm.
Serviced by a small Morrisons and Coop and limited selection of eateries (mainly takeaways). If you're looking for a cosy pub and a dining experience you definitely need to go further afield. The location offers much more cost effective accommodation for Snowdon Hikers compared to that in towns like Llanberis or accommodation nearer the Snowdon routes. If you're happy to drive, the Pen Y Pas car park is about a 30 minutes away and Llanberis about 40 and the route takes you through stunning mountain terrain.
If you're looking for a busy, lively tourist trap near Snowdon, Blaenau-Ffesiniog is not for you. If you're looking for cheaper accommodation with alternative hiking routes a stones throw away, you won't go wrong here.

The accommodation could not have been better.
The accommodation could not have been better. Amazing little pod. Fantastic toilet and showers, very comfy beds and clean towels.
Staff were really helpful and punctual.
However … the location wasn’t for us. The site is a working quarry and with that lorry’s do pass by at a distance. The noise was okay but I suppose the view was not to our taste. It’s would be a great family base for the local area if you want to get the kids away from devices etc and reconnect with each other

It is a lovely little village in the mountains. good walking possiblities. you have two good sized supermarkets. Quiet . you can easily reach main attractions by car. We usually had our main meal lunchtime. but we did have fish and chips takeaway but ate them in local pub. The landlord said we could and enjoyed a pint at the same time.

It's a great location for access to the mountains, walks and the coast, including Porthmadog, Barmouth and the Llyn Peninsula.
What's not so great is the limited eating out possibilities without needing transport. A couple of drinkers pubs and a handful of take aways (with not very good ratings, menus stuck on the window with blue tac etc). De Niros did look nice but it's a daytime cafe.
The supermarkets are excellent (Co-Op esp), so if you are happy to self cater you no doubt get better value accomodation here than would would in, say, Betws y Coed.

Having not been to North Wales for over 40 years I had hoped it would be more like the idyllic Bettws-Y-Coed. Unfortunately not, roads of small terraced cottages. A couple of good little supermarkets, a poor "old school" type Indian restaurant and a few take-aways. I think the highlight of Blaeneau is the slate mine !

We stayed here as we had a zip world experience the next day and it’s a good four hour drive from where we live. There are a couple of pubs to drink but not many restaurants to eat in, but we did eat at the red chilies Indian restaurant and it was very good, but it is very small so recommend booking prior to arrival.

The hotel was lovely. We stayed in cottage number 2
Small but ok for 1 night.
Food was amazing and great portions. Busy hotel and lovely outdoor area with ample seating
Breakfast was amazing, butchers sausages and good selection of other breakfast items.
Staff really friendly and pleasant hardworking.
Beautiful scenery and area to stay in. Definitely return but would book a larger room.
On the way to the hotel we got a flat tyre and were stranded on the road on a Sunday afternoon, but thanks to the help of Emma and the staff we managed to get there and have a pleasant stay. Everyone was very kind and understanding and helped us in every possible way. You will feel welcome because they are very attentive to their guests' needs.
Beautiful, clean, and with a wonderful view.
Nothing the place was a hell hole , how they can advertise on here as a hotel is beyond me it’s worse then bad I paid 180 pounds in advance for two days , arrived , was mortified within ten mins and left .. never to return it was disgusting on every aspect
Such a lovely hotel. modern and chic decor. Beautiful room as well upgraded to a slightly larger one. Breakfast was also delicious! We enjoyed good quality hot breakfast food.
Hotel was located very close to where we needed to go and the surroundings are magical. The staff (Richard) was very attentive and looked after us lovely.
