It was quirky, original and in a magical setting. The host made us feel very welcome, offered a tour around the castle and gave us some local history. She ensured we had all we needed including setting up the fire pit when we decided we would like to catch the atmosphere of the evening. We had a perfect stay from check in. We were welcomed by Nicky and shown to our lovely accommodation. The rooms in the lodge building were spacious, comfortable and spotlessly clean. The bathroom was modern with a very powerful shower. Our evening meals and breakfast cooked by John were exceptional. The hotel is in a quiet location with countryside views and has plenty of free onsite parking.
