I booked a one night stay at the Bettyhill Hotel whilst on a motorcycle trip on the NC500. The hotel boasts a fantastic scenic sea view location with it's restaurant and some rooms overlooking the sea. I received a room upgrade upon arrival which was a bonus but would expect every room to be to the same clean and comfortable high standard. The staff were friendly and helpful. Dinner was superb and great value for money, as was 'cooked to order' breakfast the following morning. If you like your malt whisky, there is a fantastic selection in the bar!

Fabulous customer service, nothing was any trouble. Our room was spotless and very comfortable, nothing missing for our needs. The view over the bay is fabulous. Nice easy access to the hotel from the car park. Would love to go back there. We would recommend the restaurant, the menu is varied and the food excellent.

The hotel is perfectly located on the main road but was not noisy at all. Our room (1) was fantastic and the staff, service and food were all excellent. It was an absolute pleasure staying at the hotel and I cannot recommend it highy enough. If you are planning a trip on the North Coast 500 make sure you spend at least a night here - you will nto be dosappointed.

On the NC500. Lovely beach and walks. General shop.
On the NC500. Lovely beach and walks. General shop. Two cafes (one in village, one by the museum). Two good quality hotels - Bettyhill Hotel and the Farr Bay Inn - which are also open to non-residents for meals. Strathnaver Museum has recently been completely refurbished with new exhibition displays about the Clearances and local life.

Due to being there out of season, most of the hotels, coffee shops etc in the area were closed but we had stocked up on food and drink so were fine.
We did find a quirky cafe/bar in the village with delicious cake.

Beautiful room.
Beautiful room.
Lovely reception and welcome from the staff.
Breakfast was delicious.
Service was very good indeed.
The views are stunning.
Parking no problem, plenty of space.
Unfortunately the evening meal was disappointing. Food service was in the public bar. The menu was limited. There were no other options locally. We ordered two starters, two main courses and a bottle of wine.
Halloumi Fries £7
Crayfish Cocktail £8
Bettyhill Burger £16
Chilli Beef Nachos £13
Malbec £21.95

The food was mediocre, not bad just similar to Wetherspoons but a lot more expensive.
Lovely quaint hotel. Right beside a stunning beach.
Welcoming, attentive, and friendly staff. The owner Karen is amazing. Zac really looks after the guests and nothing is too much trouble. My wife and I had one night there and the whole experience was faultless. Great food too with some original tasty cocktails.
If you are doing the NC500 put this gem of a place on your stop over list.
Very tasty breakfast with some choices (e.g. vegetarian). Although there's a bar and a restaurant in the hotel it was very quiet. Wonderful view and a nice beach nearby (unfortunately not the one in front of the hotel but a 10 minutes walk is it worth). The hotel is family-run and the owners are very friendly and caring, having a warm word for everybody.
Dinner was fantastic. Zack was excellent helping us throughout the process of checking in, and then serving us at dinner. He is very personable, and knowledgeable about the hotel and area history, taking time to answer all questions, give details, without seeming rushed. Thanks a bunch Zach (hope the spelling is correct(
We had a wonderful stay in the Farr cottage. 2 bedroom with large kitchen and seating area. Outdoor picnic table was perfect for getting some fresh air and seeing the stars at night. Great dinner in the restaurant and breakfast in the morning. Staff was friendly and helpful. I wish we stayed there more than 1 night!
Absolutely beautiful location, 5 minutes walk from stunning beach, the accommodation is fantastic- beautifully decorated, comfortable beds in spacious room. Food was great and customer service was the exceptional, definitely the best place we have stayed on the NC500, highly recommend a visit there.
The fact that it was a dog friendly hotel was the main reason we chose it. When we got there, we found beautiful views of the Scottish countryside, a large room with a king size bed, great food, and accommodating staff members. I’d stay here again if we were to do the NC 500 another time.
Fabulous inn, with incredibly helpful staff when we arrived. The hotel rooms are gorgeously decorated, well equipped and comfortable. The food is top quality, locally sourced and delicious. A private beach is a few minutes walk away, absolutely beautiful. Would highly recommend the FBI!
Wow, what a beautiful location overlooking the dunes! Very romantic. Very lovely clean and quiet hotel with a restaurant and bar on premises. Comfy beds, excellent breakfast overlooking the beach. Would return in a heartbeat!
Really good grab & go breakfast that the hotel provided us withbeacuase we ahd leave very early for the ferry at Scrabster. Also the hotel efficenty forwarded to my home in Winchester a shoe I had left behind.
Beautiful little hotel. Very homely and clean with friendly staff. Breakfast was great. Bettyhill is a lovely village to stop the night in. On this occasion the weather was great if a little blustery.
Hi,
I've stayed in may hotel and yours has been one of the best, great views, good staff, food excellant
Will be calling again on my next NC500,
Keep up the good work
Cheers
Chris
The staff, the hotel and the service were out of this world. The only mystery is why they’re only three stars when they should be at least four. Just outstanding.
