An experience which is unique. Stepping back in time and trying to appreciate the difficulties many people endured in hostile environments whilst trying to make a living and support their families.

Lovely hotel the staff were extremely good and helpful. The food was great and very reasonable priced. Rooms were large and comfortable and very clean. Would have no hesitation in staying there again.

Did not have breakfast as the price of the room was very expensive and it would have been good to have breakfast included.

I don’t think I’ve ever received a warmer welcome. Only booked for one night when I decided to travel a day early but could easily have stayed longer. All the staff were friendly and welcoming, especially the owner, who greeted me as I arrived. There was even a gift for my dog in the room. The room was lovely, looking out to the small loch. Food was home cooked and delicious. Would definitely recommend.

Been to cottage a few times now. We have been to other in the area and up in Ness but we prefer the location here. Is quiet and has all the things you need and none of the things you dont! This time we could not come due to death in family. Laura was very understanding, had not expected to get any money back. Will book again for next year.
