Excellent breakfast and although most days i left before breakfast was served the landlady took the trouble to put me a takeaway bag together.. which was very nice and considerate.
Easy parking right in front of the property.
Ideally located, The Vale is a short walk from the KCOM stadium, 164 feet from local bus links and 1 mile from Hull's vibrant city center and Hull Paragon Train Station.
Lovely little town just over the Humber bridge. Great place to stay if you have business in Hull and don't wish to stay in the city.
Lovely waterside views of the Humber.
Don't forget to visit the arts centre The Ropewalk.

My family are from here and lots still live here so obviously its familiar to me. Some great walks and viewing for the Humber Bridge nice little pubs for food or just a drink. I called in the wheatsheaf for a coffee with my dog before walking to were I was staying very friendly. Ive also had a lovely vegetarian meal at the sloop and had my dog with me. Its nice at the cafe down on the waters edge. Only thing is if you're alone with your dog you carnt go in to order food

We (my partner and I), really enjoyed our stay in Barton-upon-Humber. It's a beautiful part of the world and also very flat - so walking and exploring the area isn't too strenuous. Barton is also quite full of places to go, with an abundance of pubs offering delicious food and local ales.

Very interesting place - quiet now but would have bustled with industry in its heyday. St Peter's Church, the Ropery and Tile Works all worth visiting. Crossing the Humber Bridge at sunset is unforgettable.

Lovely Pub/Hotel in a quiet village. Rooms were very comfortable, clean with a lovely bathroom with walk in shower. The food in the restaurant was delicious and great value. The singing landlord was really nice and friendly and would sing to almost every song playing in the background which was good fun and made us giggle. The price for the rooms was great value for money, you wont get a hot cooked breakfast. We knew this before we booked so it was not an issue for us. The pub itself is lovely and the locals were nice and friendly too.
Really great stay at this hotel. Very clean, nicely presented place and great atmosphere.
We had a meal on the Friday evening for 8 of us and the service was first class. Food itself was very enjoyable and cooked well.
Saturday evening threre was a live band on and the place was packed.
Beer is also good by the way :-)
Will be staying here again when we visit Barton upon Humber - thank you Vicky and staff
ps: There was'nt provision for breakfast but no big deal - would be good to incolude this going forward though
Food was good, no breakfast.. to get to the room from the restaurant you have to go through a room that is cluttered. The bed needs a new matress. The bathroom size is OK but the sink is tiny, plastic flowers at the side were bigger. The other entrance door is badly in need of painting
Parking at the front of the hotel is very limited. Overall needs a revamp.
The room was comfortable and very clean; more home than guest house. Accessibility was excellent. Breakfast was as good as 5 star hotel. Overall I couldn't have picked a better overnight place. The owner, Pam was available but never intrusive. This quiet place is a hidden gem and I would recommend it without reservation.
We had a bit of a suprise dinner for my mums birthday. The staff were brilliant and kept the secret as someone was checking in early. Food was great and as mentioned the staff are a credit to the hotel, really polite, chatty and helpful
The location was perfect for our stay to attend an event in the centre of Barton upon Humber. The staff were well informed and very helpful. The restaurant has a good dinner menu and breakfast was of a high standard.
The breakfast was wonderful, the best sausages ever!
Really friendly and helpful staff in the hotel and bar.
Ok for a stopover driving from the south to north.
