The hotel was very nice. The restaurant prices were reasonable, as were the bar prices. The bar staff and waitresses were also friendly. The breakfast the next morning was also very good.
In a country village, the Castlecary House Hotel is 4 minutes from Cumbernauld Airport, 15 minutes from Stirling and 30 minutes from Glasgow. It offers home-cooked food, real ales and malt whiskeys.

I stayed for 3 nights. Check-in was very quick, friendly and efficient. Everything was explained about Breakfast (as in where to go), the wifi password, and if I had any questions, I only had to ask.
The room was enough for a couple. A comfortable bed, a nice big bathroom, and extra points for having charging plugs built into the wall (on both sides of the bed). A nice touch. I'm never going to use the iron that was provided, but great if you needed it :)
I had dinner a couple of nights and the food was great. We also had a couple of kids on the second night with us, and they also enjoyed the food. A nice family atmosphere in the restaurant.
Just a 5 minute walk from the center of Falkirk and a short drive from Falkirk Golf Club, this 3-star hotel is the perfect place for both business stays and vacations.

Accommodation around Glasgow is fairly expensive so this was the most budget place we could find with decent reviews. The place was fairly clean, only the carpets were a bit dirty but that's alright. For the price, it was alright but you definitely need a car. If you don't have a car, just pay extra and go somewhere closer to the city.

We enjoyed our stay immensely. The house is beautiful, as are Debbie and her husband. The room was very comfortable. We had the two double bedroom and en suite bathroom. We wish we would have been less rushed and could have relaxed a little more. The location is nice in that is close to different kinds of activities. It's a little far from downtown Edinburgh, but that wasn't a huge problem for us. Debbie suggested that we park at the airport tram station and ride the tram into town. That was fantastic. The parking was free and we only paid five pounds for the tram which also gave us a pass on the busses too.
