Stayed here for the location and glad we did. This historic building houses a welcoming pub and delicious breakfast. Check-in was easy and the room was clean, even in this historic building. Abernethy is a nice place to walk around. All the shops were friendly.

Property was in a great location in a cute little city. Right on the main road with a very nice outside patio bar. The restaurant was cozy and the food was ok. My Scottish breakfast was great, but my wife’s pancakes were overdone. The room we had was noisy as it sat above the bar and one of the workers was blowing the front patio with a leaf blower 7 AM in the morning. For the money, it was just OK.

Large quirky house which suited our 10 adults and 6 children. Kitchen was very well equipped but we would have liked a larger than standard oven to cater for those large meals. Dining room wasn't huge but we all managed to squeeze in. Bedrooms were large and well stocked with blankets, towels etc. Two cots provided. Sitting room was large with plenty of seating.
The house was generally well heated and though one bedroom was a little cool it had two extra electric heaters.
The building was showing signs of it's age and needed TLC in places but overall we were all pleased with it.
We had 5 large cars so 2 had to be parked about 2 mins walk from the house. Auchtermuchty is an old, interesting village. There is a large Co-op there which carries all staples and larger towns are 15 mins away for those extras.
Taking everything into account we left Cameron House after a weekend there having fully enjoyed our time.
