Relaxed atmosphere. Lovely food. Fabulous views from the hotel. Very comfortable beds
Easy to get to shops in Keswick. Good food at the Lakes Distillery and Chesters near Ambleside. Good low level walks around Grasmere. A visit to the gingerbread shop in Grasmere is a must but watch for the traffic wardens if parking outside
