The staff were so accommodating and kind, I was really touched by how lovely they were upon my (late) arrival. The room was even nicer than I expected; large, spotlessly clean with a very comfortable bed.

The SOLO No 1 Bank Chambers, hotel in Ancaster

The SOLO No 1 Bank Chambers is offering accommodations in Sleaford. The property is located 19 miles from Lincoln University, 12 miles from Belton House and 14 miles from Somerton Castle.

Lovely rooms, ideal for our short stay. Smart, functional decor in the rooms. Ensuite bathroom has shower gel, shampoo, conditioner and handwash provided. Shared tea/coffee making facilities on each landing, including snacks - biscuits, fruit, and cold water bottles in the fridge (which were very welcome) - is a really good use of space in this bijou hotel. You can buy breakfast at Solo Bar just down the street from 9am (generous portions and great service), or there plenty of other places within seconds for eating out. Car parking is in public car parks, literally minutes away - pay and display so don't forget to put a ticket on your dash!

The Brownlow Arms Inn, hotel in Ancaster

Located in Grantham, 18 miles from Lincoln University, The Brownlow Arms Inn has accommodations with a garden, free private parking, a terrace and a restaurant.

Loved the rural location and village. Some nice room touches, like robes + good selection of teas, and fresh milk. The bed was super comfortable and the power shower very efficient. Lorraine, the owner, is friendly and helpful. General ambience in bar and dining areas is very good; the food and service excellent. After feeling some uncertainty on arrival we left with every intention of returning.

The night before we had hot water to shower but the next there was non 😒 I tried at 05:30 run for 5 minutes boiled kettle twice went fishing. later wife tried to shower running again for ages ended up having virtual cold shower. she went to complain at office she told older man in 3 years he hadn't had this problem and wife went away feeling fobbed off as he didn't seem bothered and she wasn't happy as it put dampners on the break.

    Beautiful country surroundings. Very tranquil.

Beautiful country surroundings. Very tranquil. We were only down for a family wedding but come down to Grantham relatively frequently so will definitely be exploring ancaster in the future. Ancaster activity centre is brilliant, it had a bowling alley, paintballing, go karts and other things on site. Definitely worth a visit.

There isnt much to NOT love about this place ,it is only 10 minutes from Grantham yet you feel like you could be in some idyllic countryside escape as it is set in acres of beautiful woodland with numerous lakes ,camping sites or luxury lodges or rooms ,a restaurant if you dont want self catering .Brill for all age groups (familes, couples, singletons ) Play area for children ...what more could you want . It also hosts weddings ,parties etc and the food is lovely & reasonable priced . Ive been lots of times over the years for walks or a drink & meal but first time we have stayed overnight and i would definately stay longer in the future & really enjoy the beauty of this well run place & manitained to high standard
