Staff were friendly and attentive. Really well kept manor, high quality furnishings, lovely garden. Housekeeping was to a very high standard, everything was spotless. We dined in elements restaurant, food is cooked to a high standard, a three course dinner for two with wine was just under £200. Although the breakfast was buffet so some items were not as hot as I'd like, the quality of ingredients was super and we really enjoyed it. Would Definitely stay again if we can get a similar deal.

The service both in the bar and dining room was esxcellent. The served breakfast instead of a buffet was much appreciated

The location feels rural but only 15 mins drive from York. Bed was very comfortable, very big bathroom. Only a couple of minutes walk from the car park right into the York Bird of Prey centre
Fairly peaceful. Nice to have restaurant so close to room even though didnt use it. Got one of the cheaper nights at £ 60 so was very good value for money for that price

The apartment was in a pleasant farm setting. Provision of a fireplace and firewood was very much appreciated given the below-zero temperatures the evening we stayed there. The rooms were comfortable and warm, and the shower water was hot! Checking in and out was as easy as it comes - the key was in the door when we arrived, and the only checkout procedure was to ensure that we returned the key to the door keyhole on our departure.

A small, pretty village with a good local pub/restaurant, but no other shops. Nearest local shop is in Tollerton, 1 mile away, which has good picnic supplies made locally (possibly by the shop owner?). Next biggest place is Easingwold, a pretty place with more shops such as a co-op, and also some interesting shops for browsing. There's a nice pub there too.
