A very rural location, plenty of parking and easy access to the Inn, Accessability is excellent with a lift to the accommodation level.
The service both in the bar and dining room was esxcellent. The served breakfast instead of a buffet was much appreciated

The apartment was in a pleasant farm setting. Provision of a fireplace and firewood was very much appreciated given the below-zero temperatures the evening we stayed there. The rooms were comfortable and warm, and the shower water was hot! Checking in and out was as easy as it comes - the key was in the door when we arrived, and the only checkout procedure was to ensure that we returned the key to the door keyhole on our departure.

Make sure you get a room with view over the grounds and not with a noisy kitchen fan a couple of feet away that wakes you up at night.
Had two diners booked but after first one cancelled and ate in York instead. We would have gone to a local pub but no food available locally on a Monday night.
Make sure facilities are open if staying in 2022 as new Spa being built and Golf course being extended to 18 holes.
Would work as a corporate away location

I been traveling around the world for over 20 years, and this place was the best place I have ever been. So pretty surrounding and I loved the short walking around the hotel it was just amazing. I will definitely return. Thank you so much for keeping the hotel so clean, by the way, the breakfast was amazing.

We were left completely disappointed with our stay at Aldwark. On arrival we struggled to find the car park as there were no lights. There was a lot of building work going on and no signage to the car park. We then had to take our small child and luggage through the dark to the hotel. When we arrived at reception the staff were abrupt and unhelpful. Telling us that the Kitchen and Spa were closed. We didn’t ask about these things or needed to know but we felt as though we were being told off.
The room was lovely, it was spacious, clean and comfortable. The toiletries were very good quality and the bathroom was clean.
Breakfast was another let down. The waiter got our drinks wrong, twice and then gave us toast that was so burnt it was inedible. When we asked for more we received two pieces for three of us. We asked for further toast and it never arrived. The breakfast menu was very limited and most things require a supplement, which we were very disappointed to see when we’ve paid so much to stay. My daughter ordered pancakes which were so stale we couldn’t cut them! She gave up with breakfast and just had juice.
We were going to use the pool and facilities for a longer stay, but we decided just to go home as we all felt flat and disappointed.
On check out the staff were again rude and we just couldn’t wait to leave. A complete disappointment to what should have been a lovely treat.

Small village, with a very nice small church.
Small village, with a very nice small church. Lovely walk through the golf course and over the toll bridge. Very good pub, the Aldwark Arms, good food. The Aldwark Manor Hotel with spa and leisure facilities and golf course.
The building is lovely, as are the grounds. The staff were lovely , we enjoyed our evening meal at the main restaurant . The decor in the hotel was lovely, and the outside seating great with beautiful views. The pool, sauna and steam room are nice, but need some updating which I know is taking place soon and the plans look amazing. I hope to return with my husband for a golf weekend.
Beautiful hotel in fantastic quiet surroundings. We were in a room in Bunkers, which is a modern annex. stylish, spacious, huge bed with a stylish en-suite.
fantastic pool and spa facilities, if a little small, but certainly uncrowded when we were there, and I believe a new one is planned for this year.
Amazing hotel. One of the best hotel rooms I’ve ever stayed at. We stayed in one of the suites and which included a hot tub and it was just amazing. I couldn’t fault the place. has everything you need to have the most enjoyable stay. should be five star
I cannot state how PERFECT this hotel is. The ultimate getaway, the perfect romantic destination and the ultimate in dining too!
What an absolute GEM in this beautiful part of the country!
Exceptional hotel with efficient, friendly staff, superb food both for breakfast and dinner. Clearly money has been spent by the owners providing 5 star quality at a 4 star price.
