The Wheatsheaf by Innkeeper's Collection, hotel in Addlestone

Located just 5 minutes’ walk from Woking city center, The Wheatsheaf by Innkeeper's Collection features a cozy real-ale pub located next-door.

This is the second time I have stayed here. Is very convenient being just a stones throw from the town centre and public transport. Clean, fresh, use of lighting and colour scheme very inviting and provides the perfect setting for a warm and cosy stay. Food available and a great English breakfast for £8.

The Bridge Hotel, hotel in Addlestone

With free parking, The Bridge Hotel in Chertsey has wonderful views of the river and out beyond historic Chertsey Bridge. The Bridge Hotel is set over 3 floors and has elevator access to the rooms.

The rooms and hotel were good but there was no internet and no phone connectivity in any area of the hotel, restaurant, bar or any rooms. No member of staff could either offer an explanation or try and solve it so we had to go to a pub down the road to get some internet and we subsequently had dinner there instead.

We chose the property Addlestone because it was equidistant to the places we planned to visit - Chessington, Windsor and Legoland - during our 3 day/4 night stay. Addlestone itself offers all you could need in the way of supermarkets, restaurants and take-aways plus a station for easy access to London if required It has a super park (Victory Park) which the children enjoyed

Addlestone is not much of a place.

Addlestone is not much of a place. It has all the necessary facilities (breakfast in Tesco etc); the inhabitants are perfectly pleasant and my hotel, The Crouch Oak, though very basic, was exceptionally good value. All this made my brief stay satisfactory. However, there appears to be little, or nothing, of cultural interest or beauty here. No old quarter, as far as I could see, unlike most of these small Surrey towns. Maybe a longer stay and more investigation would have uncovered something, though I won't be booking my hols here.
